Didn't want to be in an arena full of bandwagon Pens fans giving me shit if the Devils lost or played like last week. Of course, some dumb ass punk college kid had to say something stupid about Brodeur on the way out, something like "Did you see Brodeur taken out on his hovaround" I just said, no, but I saw him beat your team's ass yesterday. He comes back with yeah, but he has all those wins and only 1 Cup.....After I informed him Marty had 3 and asked if he had anything else stupid and uniformed to say, he just shut the fuck up. A few Pens fans had started making fun of him at this point for being so stupid.

Nothing better than seeing them shut that place up and make it sound like a tomb.

As for the game, this team is really looking good, would still love to add another winger who can score, but other than that they are playing well. Larsson really maturing, Kovy starting to heat up, Henrique huge to have back, Clarkson earning a very nice raise....loving it.

Kovy's 5 hole laser was a thing of beauty.... watching it on NBC sports, they were doing an interview while that sequence was happening and i couldn't tell where the puck go. I thought it went into the crowd until all of a sudden i see the puck bouncing/hoping away from the net thus realizing it was a goal...lol

im glad they won for your sake also. give pitt another 10-15 years before they are talking relocation again. heck if they didnt take it to get mario the team would've been gone long ago.

getting to the game i was shocked at how well they played. moose is a beast i hope he gets a home start so the fans can get the moooose chant going. 3 games and 2 goals given up in 2 very hostile buildings. cant ask for any better.

pp was looking better last night even though it was only 1 chance the pp put the game away imo.

bernier made a sick move and almost potted it...thats the 2nd time in as many games hes made a nice move on the side of the net there. saturday he did a reverse spinorama and almost stuffed it.

butler solid again and i think barch is like 200x better then camjan.

kovy heating up like you said its just like sprinkles ontop of the ice cream!

I will point to this past week when we inevitably hid a skid this season and everyone declares that the sky is falling. Whent his team hits on all cylinders it is beyond fun to watch. Our D getting involved in the offense has been a game changer this year. Even Salvador's little wristers on net are so unorthodox it throws people off.

Yeah, no doubt. They claim its such a hockey town, but its only a hockey town when they are winning. I have been going to games since pre-Mario and they couldn't give tickets away, the bandwagon filled in early 90's and everyone broke their legs jumping off after we crushed them in Eastern Finals and they dismantled team. I was going to about 20 games a year for next to nothing after that and always had an extra seat to put my feet up and one for my coat. Team was talking relocation, Mario wanted to sell, they had a rally to save the team and like 300 people showed. Very few cared if they moved. Miraculously, they win the Crosby lottery, Mario decides he's not selling, they get casino money for new arena, they start winning and 300,000 lifelong diehard fans show up for a Stanley cup Parade. They must have all been in comas for 4-5 years prior to that. You can tell who the biggest bandwagon clowns are because they always talk the loudest and have no idea what the hell they are talking about. They regurgitate whatever the local sports talk radio says verbatim.

I used to go to games under the student rush deal... Best available seats for $20 I think. Now I can't find a decent ticket for less than $150. Sorry, but I can't justify a $400 night to watch some of the performances that I've been seeing out of the Pens at home when I'm perfectly content watching it on my tv. I truly can't believe that people are forking out that kind of money to go to games.

It doesn't matter what professional sport or town you're in, there will always be bandwagoners when the team is winning.

Student Rush was the best. Seats 10 rows from ice for $20.

Steelers are the only team in town with loyal fan base. Pens were literally a ping pong ball away from moving to KC and there was very little resistance from the "fan base". Their big rally to save the team drew more flies than people. I can get tickets from my friend for 50-60 via his season tix and he saves me the Devils games.

Yeah, some 350lb toad in a pair of sweats was trying to heckle him from the get go yesterday, but was pretty quiet after he netted 2. Then the guy showed what a true fan he is by playing words with friends for almost a full period and ignoring the game. Couldn't help notice as he was a few rows directly below me.

Wish we had signed him before season. He keeps this up, its going to be costly

It varies. Saturday games usually have more. I saw red throughout the arena, not a ton, but it really stands out when everyone else is in black and gold. I did have a couple smoking hot chicks in Marty t-shirts in the section next to me, that was a bonus.
