I was including Gallo as earning the spot by stepping up.

Gallo isn't having to force his way into the lineup with minimal playing time and plate appearances.

His theory(if ii is actually his) entails forcing their way into the lineup while only playing inconsistently though. That doesn't work. Gallo's play as well as Mazara's last year at this time proves that consistent playing time is necessary just as it was in the past for guys like Palmer, Teixeira, Young, Blalock, Elvis, Kinsler, and Odor. Long ago it was true for guys like Hargrove, Sundberg, Wills, Juando, Sierra, and Pudge. They all thrived after getting consistent playing time as very young players.

It is a ridiculous theory in the first place but given the guys that have had success in the past have been benched anyway proves none of them get a legit chance to force their way into the lineup even when they start getting hot. It is just stupid all the way around

Rua is the one that has come to mind first but it really wasnt anyone specifically. I just remembered back to last season when Rua or someone started to find it, they would find the pine for 3-4 days, Wasnt really talking this season so far, its too early and nobody has shown anything or been given time to. Was really going off last year
