Former scUM running back Mike Hart is coaching Western Michigan running backs.

Now he'll be 0-5 vs Ohio State.

Turning around Eastern Michigan Football is roughly as easy as making a K-turn in a steam locomotive.
Ssssshhhhhh it's more fun to make fun of Mike Hart.

It's one thing for a Nut to try and poke fun at Hart, but Little Brother?????

Let's check his stats over MSU:
2004 - 224yds, 6.8 average
2005 - 218yds, 6.1 average
2006 - 122yds, 5.5 average
2007 - 110yds, 7.3 average
He ran all over that MSU defense!

Hart's just paying his coaching dues, working his way up with various MAC programs. It's only a matter of time before a big program picks up the career rushing leader from the winnningest CFB program.

And he put the chip on Michigan State's shoulder that has lasted 7 years so far.

He did do that...........:tsk:

And I'll give Dantonio credit he has milked that comment for all it's worth, and then some.

And Michigan, stupidly, firmly put it back there with the whole railroad stake incident last year. It's one thing to be rolling into the game undefeated and two highly ranked teams, it's another when you are 3-4.

Debated Robinson says he still thinks of Michcigan State as little brother. Based on what he's done should he be talking?

Yeah, the team as a whole first needs to restore the natural order before they even think of such things........then still not do it.

Based on his record? No
Based on the history of the two programs? Absolutely!

Listen, I'll be the first to tip my hat to what MSU has accomplished these past 10 years, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. From ~1970 to ~2010 the series was absolutely dominated by Michigan, and I'm curious what happens with this MSU program once Dantanio leaves, which I'm guessing very well could be within 5 years, 10 on the outside.

I'm curious what happens to Michigan State when Cook leaves. The year between Cousins and Cook was dreadful. Yes based on history MSU is "little brother" but every time Michigan fans keep bringing that up, it keeps that chip there square on the shoulder. Robinson had absolutely nothing to due with the dominance of Michigan's past. He is a small footnote to be known more for the destruction of the program rather than the yards he ran for.

Rather he be remembered as the one bright spot in one of Michigan's darkest times.

As for Cook, I'd be more concerned about the coach. A good coach like Dantonio will find someone within a year or two, but a progam replacing a good coach? Just look at what happened at Michigan! If anyone should have been set up it should have been Michigan following Carr, the program still had plenty of talent, was still on a relative high, and had all the resources and name recognition to pull in a top flight coach. Yet wiffed twice and spent the last 10 years being among the lowest in program history. MSU struck gold when they got Dantonio from Cinnci, because let's be honest, even now they ain't pulling a big name coach from a big (or even relatively) big program. They are going to have to roll the dice again at a "diamond in the rough" type candidate an hope it pays off as well as Dantonio did. And if they don't, that could easily send the program back down into the lower tiers of the Big Ten.

If MSU is little brother, what does that make Eastern? Adopted unwanted stepchild they found in an alley?
