I am a newer soccer fan (almost 4 years now) and I have looked for a place to post that is active enough and there is nothing out there. Since I like SportsHoopla as much as I do we should try and get the soccer discussion going.

Arsenal in EPL and NY Red Bulls in MLS.

I am still familiarizing myself with all of the players but actually having a good time learning.

I was an american football fan and hated soccer. My youngest son started playing in 2010 so I started to watch to learn it a little and really enjoyed it. Didn't hurt that it was the World Cup as well.

Sporting KC (although I sometimes call them the Wiz still) in MLS. Champz.

Definitely was rooting for Chelsea in 2012 although normally it would be kind of a toss up. But with Chelsea having never won it before.... it was an easy choice on who to root for.
This year in the Super Cup.... well, we got an awesome match. But I was still rooting for Chelsea.

Man City will take the EPL this year, they're just too talented and powerful. They have the best striker (Aguero), the best midfielder (Toure), and all kinds of other awesome players. Have the variety of players to play in a bunch of different styles.......if you have guys like Dzeko coming off the bench, and Jovetic not even able to get a game you're talking about an absurd strikeforce. Arsenal has all these clever and talented players but when they go up against City they just get bullied, the athletes City puts on the field are just tough to deal with.
