jesus you are as bad as Kramer now. Why even watch any game this year? It is a forgone conclusion we won't win a game and none of them will be close. Why bother?

Lol I'm sorry I forgot a rookie QB with 1 preseason game under his belt was supposed to come straight in and light up the #1 D in the league last year with arguably a top 3 group of CB's. Plus the first INT wasn't his fault. Had Green caught that like he should have that first TD doesn't happen. Again you have to be watching the game to really know what is going on.

This response to me is hilarious.

These are the same arguments people made in favor of Carson last season and was the case many many times; however, time and time again it was ignored. And you were one of the culprits.

Oh well...to each their own..

Dalton started looking good at the very end of the first quarter and the second quarter.

Something tells me Rex started putting in his backups at that point.

He played well once he setteled down I thought..

My only worry is the lack of a vertical passing game. the WRs are going to get killed if the Bengals are only throwing slants and 5 yd outs in the regular season

I wasn't a culprit in anything. I said that Palmer was out best chance this year. I said I didn't want Palmer to retire. I said a lot of throws were his fault but a lot were Chad freelancing. I didn't do anything.

I am also in the Start Gradkowski Camp. No 2nd round rookie needs to start. Ever.

Thank you flaming. Bengals fans always do this. Overlook atrocious play and single out the few good points and get hopes up for a good year. I see a rookie QB overthrowing guys, WRs dropping passes, penalties galore, benson fumbling, and I'm supposed to be excited because Dalton played a little better once we were down 10 points? Give me a break.

No doubt it would be better. Let Dalton learn and grow for a year before you throw him to the wolves.

Then don't watch them if that is how you all are going to be. I'm realistic, I don't see many wins this year. But I also can see the good plays along with the bad. Yes Dalton had a bad first 6-7 minutes, but he picked himself up and didn't hang his head. He then had a quarter and a half of real good football. Lets over look the good and just bitch and complain about the bad like that is all there was. Lets overlook the fact that what many of us thought was our biggest weakness the O-Line looked really good tonight. Lets overlook the D-Line was shutting down the run and getting pressure galore. Lets overlook that the only TD the first team D gave up was after a INT that gave the Jets the ball on the 16. Lets overlook all that and only see that Dalton had a bad first 6 minutes and that Benson fumbled like the moron we all knew he was. Yeah lets do that. That is reasonable.

The o-line has to do more than play well for one game to get acknowledgement from me. So far one pitiful game and one good game.

Lol I lied I don't want Gradkowski to start. I'd rather start Dennis Roland there. Put Dan the Man in.

Dalton wasn't horrible, but he is a rookie and he played like one. He made some nice throw after he settled down a bit, but he also made some really bad throws. His mistakes are the mistakes that a 2nd round rookie qb makes - He overthrows receivers when he's rushed. I will say that he does seem to have a nice command of the offense - He doesn't seem confused and I think he's making the right decisions. But, with the talent around him, they don't have much of a chance. Without a running game and without pass protection, the kid will make more mistakes than good plays. He's not talented enough to hide our limitations.

I will say that I do like the offensive scheme more than Brat's playbook. The receivers were open on many plays. Too bad they can't execute.

So what round did the Jets draft McElroy in? I'd like to have him.

Listen I'm not J-Will. I don't think we will win 10 games or make the playoffs or anything like that. I also am not Kramer or Vance and think we will win 0 games. Dalton isn't the worst QB ever like they want you to believe. He is a rookie, he will make rookie mistakes. It is that simple. In a perfect world he doesn't start this year. This isn't a prefect world. He will start, he will make mistakes, but I do like his poise. He didn't fall apart after those 2 mistakes and a lot of QB's would have. Even veterans do. You take those 5 drops off and he was 8 of 14 with 1 INT. Not terrible. The pass protection was good tonight but we need a running game. I'd prefer to go into the season with Peerman, Scott, Leonard, and Finley as our RB's. Screw Benson.

Why? He wasn't a very good QB in the SEC. It's easy to look good against 3rd stringers and players who probably won't make the team.
