How could the offesince play selection be the same if they had to keep one if not two backs to pass protect in the second half ..they changed up the tempo by playing all 5 tailbacks..went away from the screen game and took more shots down field...on defense they played 8 in the box to try and stop the run...you watching the same game I was?:wtf2:

UH, WVU had eight in the box the first half as well, the backs were pass blocking in the first half too, WVU made ONLY reactionary moves in the second half, NO preemptive measures at all. Play selection was dictated later in the game by the score, all hail Holgorsen the mighty.

Uhh..no..they played a 3-4 for almost the entire first half...only dropped a safety when they brought pressure..

Look at what USF's defense did against OUR rushing attack, stunt blocking, etc when Fraud was here for an example of what could have been done in the second half against OU to see what I'm talking about.
Wait... did you just compare OU to USF??????

WOW, I was comparing OUR rushing attack in 2007, which many thought unstoppable with the great offensive line play, and how HAD stopped it to OUs rushing attack Saturday and ways WVU could have stopped it.

I don't think Steve Slaton was 5'11" 245 pounds... Nor was our O-line anywhere near a 320 average... More like 280. RR liked lean, fast line play, ACC style. That rushing attack was NOTHING like what OU ran.

The blocking TECHNIQUE was IDENTICAL.........and much like us Sat, OU had no answer in 2008, but the much less talented sPitt and USF Dlines did, because they stayed home, filled the holes, and made the tackles.

Proper technique trumps bulk. Do you think they were lightweights in 2007??????:lame:

I guess well coached high schoolers could have stopped them.

Speaking of which, that back was a true freshman, yet some on here claim they are unable to contribute in a lame attempt to apologize for Holgorsen's poor performance. :noidea:

I don't see to many 5 stars on our team, has nothing to do with Holorsen. I will defend him when he is in the right, and not when he is wrong. Big difference in our recruits and a 5 star. They are getting better but I don't see many heading here. I don't care what technique you use also that much beef will wear anyone down.

They ran a completely different offense in 2007. Trevor Knight is no Sam Bradford...yet. And if my numbers are correct Oklahoma averaged almost 30 lbs less on the O Line in 2007. :noidea:

Freshman have contributed all over for us because they had to, not because they were ready..as usual your comment is :lame:

Girls Volleyball coach should be fired, had Texas down 2-0 and let them come back to win 3-2....didn't see any adjustments out there for the second half of the match and their conditioning was lacking, Luck should be fired as well I had to watch this match on TV instead of listening to it on the radio. :L

NO, per Lambert, Slaton, BB, and yourself, only WINNING coaches should be fired, as we can't have a coach who talks like a hick and make facial expressions that you don't like. We keep coaches who lose...AND make excuses for them. By the way, there is a HUGE difference between losing to Texas in volleyball, and losing to Kansas AND IAST on the gridiron.

BS: 8 Quinton Andrews, 6-0 210 So.
CB: 6 Antonio Lewis, 5-10 185 Sr.

Of note, the OU line were Jr's… average weight was 302.4

WVU's DL had two Sr's… Dingle and Dykes. Dykes was a RS Sr.

The other thing that stands out about this, look at the WVU offense. An O-line with all Jr's. Stewart turned this highly productive offense into a dud. And, it was showing no sign of improving…. that is why he HAD to be FIRED!!

QB: 5 Patrick White, 6-2 185 Jr.
SB: 10 Steve Slaton, 5-10 190 Jr. / 7 Noel Devine, 5-8 170 Fr.
FB/TE: 35 Owen Schmitt, 6-3 260 Sr.
SL: 9 Jock Sanders, 5-8 185 Fr.

WR: 83 Tito Gonzalez, 6-2 210 Jr.
LT: 62 Ryan Stanchek, 6-4 300 Jr.
LG: 79 Greg Isdaner, 6-4 315 So.
C: 68 Mike Dent, 6-4 285 Jr.
RG: 73 Jake Figner, 6-5 305 Jr.
RT: 66 Selvish Capers, 6-6 285 Jr. / 70 Eric Rodemoyer, 6-3 280 RFr.

Now… look at the OU depth chart for the WVU game last weekend… of note to this discussion… look at the OU O-line… 1 Jr, 4 RS Sr's… the center was the smallest at 315 lbs.
