I didnt see any of their game with NCSU so i dont know what was wrong with them. But this game worries me especially because they're comin off a bye. I hope the secondary can limit Dwight Jones and i hope their d-line against our o-line isnt a mismatch.

We need to come out swinging against UNC, IMO they are a lot better team than their record indicates. Renner is a decent QB and Bernard has put up some pretty big #'s this year. Their OL is NFL sized, which worries me with our lack of depth on the DL and injuries at LB.

Their defense has been good (not great) against the run and their DL is as big as we will see. I think UNC (like most teams have) will focus on stopping the run, which i think they will do a pretty decent job of. IMO we will need another big game from LT and the wr's to win.

VT wins easily. Withers is awful and they have zero leadership. Would love to have Hughes and Bernard though.

I feel better about this game than I did about GT. However, we have to convert and put the ball in the endzone. No settling for FGs or having drives stopped by penalties and turnovers. There is still a lot of talent on their roster and even though we'll probably be the better team, we can't let them hang around (like we did with Duke).

Early prediction:

VT - 31 (capitalize on a turnover or two)
UNC - 13

VT should win this with their hands behind their backs and blindfolded. Dwight Jones will be the best player on the field whenever he is out there, but it wont matter because our quarterback is incapable of reading a defense, being smart with the ball, and every deep pass he has attempted this year has been underthrown. Virginia Techs defense will finish with a couple of sacks, a few interceptions, and an easy victory. Hopefully its a 3-0 kind of game instead of like 45-7 (with us getting a defensive touchdown)...And 46n2...you dont need to worry about Bernard, our offensive line was getting blown off the ball by NCheatSU of all teams.

I think UNC is a running team too. Bernard is 3rd in the ACC in rushing yards.

I still remember being at the Thursday night game vs UNC and losing on a Ryan Williams fumble. Had some west coast friends in town for it (Oregon students) and the shit they talked seemed to never end. Deservedly so that night :smow:
