I guess Im missing this upside of which you speak. Aside from being younger neither of the guys we signed have actually performed better than the guys we let walk. And I still have to wonder, if RJF had no upside, why would the Packers sign him for basically what we were set to pay him??

mcgee and mcclain are youger and might be better vs the run . that is the only benefit . they arent upgrades just different

skins run dfense sucked up front why keep the same guys of suck dean is right no upside .... in my opinon basically you have to look at the dline as a 6 headed monster that can play all 3 postions at any time, for a killer rotation aka ziggy hood can play all 3 but was forced to play NT the most i bet mclain and mcgree can play all 3 NT re le plus there little bit younger there will be some rookies on this 6 headed dline monster mclain and gee are just 2 of 6 .. can you imagine a dline that 6 players can play all 3 postions ITS ALL ABOUT THE ROTATION NOT JUST THE STARTING 3 AND THE BACK UPS ARE JUST BLAHHHH its the same logic you can use for lineman i want to draft a lineman that can play tackle and gaurd i can move him around if some one gets hurt its like 1 player that can play 2-3 postions might be more important then 1 player that can play 1 postiton in this case a big fat NT is a no go

The contract he signed was for what we cleared. He was being overpaid here as we all know.
