Actually I think Lamp would be a very good pick. But the fan base (especially around here) would rage. I think in light of the defensive needs, alot of people would flip gasket if we drafted any thing other than DL, ILB or Safety at 17.

Lol, well I still like McDowell and Peppers, but I hope fans have a plan B, especially with the Ravens picking before us and them losing a ILB. I'm willing to believe the FA moves mean the 'skins will go a different direction @17. I think Lamp may be considered. haven't seen his Alabama tape but I heard he held his own.

IM seeing alot of fap action over Reddick if he is there. And I hear good things... but I do have a concern about us taking a college DE, and turning him into a day one starter at ILB.

Oh you mean how he is going to get destroyed his first year because of the lack of talent around him?
Yeah, I see him having no impact the first year BUT becoming a GEM, and solving a problem at ILB if he is picked.
He will be able to do so many things, and I believe the current staff will be able to figure out how to use him.

that's easy. They all compete for a job this year, Lavou doesn't have a contract with the team next year, and Kojo is likely to handle back-up duties.

we are "pretending" Reddick is already drafted. I will say if Zach and Obi are still there when we pick in the 2nd, we BETTER run and take Melifonwu

I dont doubt his talent and ability.

I do still doubt our defensive coaching staff. We have shown a solid ability to take raw talent and couch it right the fuck out of a player in short order.

We would have to address NT, ILB and RB with the next 3 picks. Hopefully Mixon would be there in the 2nd and then we take the NT in the 3rd with the ILB in the 4th. Rest of the draft would be BPA.

He might not be. I still think we need to draft a RB in the first 3 rounds though.
