The upcoming game between the Washington Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday is expected to be a one-sided affair. According to the latest odds and predictions, the Cowboys have an 83% chance of winning while the Commanders have only a 17% chance. The Cowboys will be taking the field with a 7-3 record and second place in the NFC East, while the Commanders come to Dallas following a very disappointing loss to the Giants that pushed their season record to 4-7 and the third spot in the division.
Although the home-standing Cowboys have struggled against better opposition, they have routinely dominated lesser opponents with their high-scoring offense and stingy defense. Washington, on the other hand, has struggled to find consistency and/or any sort of identity on either side of the ball.
Based on these stats and trends, it seems unlikely that the Commanders will be able to pull off an upset against the Cowboys, especially on the road, on a short week and with uncertainty whirling around the direction that new ownership will take.
The Commanders will need to play their best game of the year, hope for some luck, and a few fortuitous mistakes from their hosts in order to have a chance of spoiling their Thanksgiving feast!
I've had my say, now it's your turn...
1. Who wins this game?
2. Final score?
3. Player(s) of the game?
4. Memorial moment, event, or play, that will have everyone talking on Sunday
night and Monday mornings?
