Alabama was held under 20 points.

Alabama had a 35 game streak of scoring 20+ points, by far longest in the nation.

The last team to hold Alabama under 20 points was 2011 LSU.

Conclusion? Ole Miss has the best defense in the country.

After watching Ole Miss's D, I can't argue with that. They fly around and play disciplined D.

All the money we have, all the nice facilities, we can't hire anyone to teach our guys to not fumble.

I think we just don't realize how blessed we were to have Ingram, Richardson, and Lacy in a 3 year span. Those guys epitomized how to play running back at Alabama.

Maybe your offense was struggling like OU's was. QB's have good days and bad days, sometimes a team just can't seem to get going like dropped passes (OU had several), penalties at bad times to kill drives or keep drives going for the other team (OU had several of those also). Then there is the most glaring one, bad execution.

Oh he is good as the hype, just not on a consistent basis, he has yet to perform anywhere near to his Sugar Bowl performance, but the talent is there. I give credit to the TCU defense though, they were playing like their pants were on fire with discipline.

Watch their defense. Look at game footage. They're real good.

TCU played a good defensive game, but TCU always has a good defense, now they have a good offense to go with it. That QB should be in the Heisman talk if he continues to play that way.

Podsox was talking about Ole Miss's d last week and that got me interested. I started watching footage and a Lil voice in my head said "oh shit" when I did.

Blake Sims played an average game against the best defense in the country. He isn't the cause for concern. Ole Miss defense will make any quarterback look average this year.

We lost because of poor fundamental football. The players played their asses off on both sides. We just didn't do the little things right.

Edit: And Ole Miss won the game as well. That's a damn good football team. And you have to be one to beat Alabama.

We got out coached, plain and simple.
