Roth has had concussion issues so it is probably a smart move on his part to walk away. Your head is important. You think with it. Arkema is a bit of a surprise but not huge. I am surprised by Irick though.

That surprised? With the WRs signed the last two years and C. Parker looking to probably get substantial pt this year, I figured we'd have some (significant) attrition at the position. Figured Caleb would be more likely, but I'm not really shocked at Irick.

Asante was a hell of a gunner on special teams ala Zach Luckett or Alonzo Tweedy and with our terrible coverage teams last year, I would spend two scholarships on him. From what I have been told he was railroaded as hell too with the suspension.

Not sure he would have seen the field anyway. I thought maybe he could make some waves as a kick returner, but the backfield is too crowded and I really think we'll see more two TE sets this year.

Not a huge surprise. The guy has a lot of potential but just doesn't fit into what we are trying to do offensively. He is too small to be a RB and couldn't really break the depth chart at WR either. I think once JC leaves the "scatback" role might be shelved... At least it should be. That position is better for a spread type O.

Maybe not
