*sigh* ya know, i shouldn't complain, because i've gotten to witness 3 championships in my group of teams...but i want SO BAD to see them succeed. i watch clips from the 70's teams, of Roberto, Stargell, Parker...and i'm frankly just insanely jealous of my father who was THERE to see them win in the 70's (along with mario in the 80's and 90's while i was waddling in diapers.)

The Pirates were fun to watch in the late 80s-early 90s until the bottom of the 9th, Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS. The fun abruptly stopped and has yet to continue. One of the worst sports moments of my life. Right up there with the Bettis fumble on the goal line against the Colts in the Afc Championship game a few years ago. That was the worst feeling I have ever been through in my life when it comes to sports.

I am unfortunate enough to live in Indiana and was surrounded by Colts fans when the fumble happened. I almost ended a few friendships when they were talking smack to me and I was NOT cool with it at the moment. You know who got the last laugh tho.
