I certainly would not want to be Bilyalentinov. I bet Putin is waiting for him already. Boneheaded call to start Varlamov. Almost as stupid as Tikhonov sitting Tretiak after the first in 1980.




For the record, Bob allowed two goals in the Tourney. One of which was deflected in off a foot. And he almost got that one.

Russia just couldn't match the Finns desire. This was never going to be anything but a war, but the Finns just had their way in the late second and third. And Rask really stepped up. Would have been great to see a goalie battle.

Good job on the phantom goalpost thing by Quick. It should have been the US getting slapped around in this one.
