That russian head coach is going to disappear and never be heard from again. You watch.

what russian head coach?

One can assume he means Bilyalentinov, but considering that Bilyalentinov was not executed when he played and lost in Lake Placid and Viktor Tihkinov was also not executed after Lake Placid and that was arguably a more important moment to the Russians...

There's probably not much to it. That's all I'm saying.

The Mafiya wasn't allowed to run half the country like it does now. Those Putin deems responsible will all accidently fall out of 10 story windows or eat a bowl of radioactive soup. Just like anyone from the press that doesn't write gushing articles about him or gets in his way politically.

But it's the Mafiya the players and coaches need to really worry about. They always bet huge on these games and they'll be looking for revenge.

Bilyaletdinov was no stranger to losing. Hell, he couldn't even hang onto his stick for this one

That's three straight Olympics that Russia has failed to medal (in Salt Lake City back in 2002 they won bronze)

I feel so terrible for OV. He deserves to win something more than the world championships in his career and I don't know if that'll happen in DC. There was so much pressure on the guy as the face of the Olympics for Russia. Get's blamed by the head coach publicly after he was misused throughout the entire tournament. I just really, really feel for OV.

i still dont see this as a true upset in david vs goliath proportions as some media are indicating

I see this instead of

Finland upsets Russia

more as

Finlands Hurts Russias feelings and makes them very sad

Finland was the higher seed. By definition there is no way it was an "upset".

It's possible he did, but maybe you didn't see him
