I would love to see what Kyle Smith could do with that money and those picks. Additionally, if we are gonna trade picks for a coach, go get McVay, not Belichick.
I was indifferent on Kyle Smith. I liked his drafts from what I understood.
Gibson was his pick in 2020. Not sure his thoughts on young.

We know he didn't want Haskins.

I didn't like our free agent approach at all in 2020. Not sure if that was more Rivera or Smith.

I would prefer someone from a winning organization. The Falcons are not a winning organization. I also don't think he would come back as we might have burned that bridge. Who knows?

A first class, top notch GM with a good track record from a winning organization will feel like water to a man dying of thirst for this fanbase. We deserve it.
Not to be annoying or repeat myself, but that is why Rivera has to go. He isn't a GM and I don't want him making any front office decisions.

I think harris knows this. Magic surely does as he works with Andrew Friedman in LA. Friedman has made the dodgers a machine in MLB.

We need an Andrew Friedman in WSH, not Rivera because he finally got a winning season in year 4.

We deserve to have the best in the business. I think it will make all the difference.

Well, I hope you are wrong. We can't afford to let Rivera have access to 90 million and 5 top 100 draft picks.
Sorry, but if that is the scenerio Rivera sticks around, I hope we lose and lose alot.

We can afford to lose EB if it gets the team a better offensive mind. We are still just 19th in the nfl in scoring and averaging 1 point more than under Falco and Turner.

If we lose EB but get be Johnson or Ken dorsey, so be it. I like EB but he isn't the savior of the team you think he is.

I think it would be a mistake to split up EB and Howell.

Why do you have Seattle as a win?
Do you think we are a good team?

Just a hunch. I think Geno Smith is beatable. Define good team? We are an average team. Can be a good team if the defense steps up and Howell continues to play well. I think Philly, 49ers, Lions and Dallas are better teams than us.

So EB is going to hold the organization hostage? After 9 games you are drawing that conclusion. EB is the best offensive mind in the league according to you?

So EB will have more authority than the GM. Seems like you want another coach centric model. You originally wanted EB to have offensive GM duties correct?

And so is Sam howell.
Buffalo and the Giants made him look terrible.

Seattle is facing the number 30 overall defense. You are still holding on to your prediction. That is what this is about.

Like skinsdad said, you die on the hill of your predictions.

Harris could think twice if Eb gets offered a HC job. I didnt say anything about GM duties.

of course, im holding on. With the oline changes we put up back to back 400 yard offensive performances. Why give up on my predation at 4-5? Sunday will tell us alot.

You originally told the board that EB would have authority over all offensive personnel as a GM would. We argued about it.

So the GM would be forced to promote EB in your scenerio correct?

Or is harris like snyder calling the shots?

i was going off the espn report. If Howell and EB continue to succeed, why would you want to break that up?

Dan's gone though. Not sure who gets credit for it but while he was here we got McLaurin in the 3rd and Curl in the 7th. Might want to fact check that.

Any chance Ron goes on a run, keeps his job but is stripped of his GM duties while Mayhew and Hurney are shown the door?

Define succeed?

Being 4-5 and being 19th in overall offense isn't ideal.

I like howells progression but EB is not as good as Ben Johnson and you know that.

You never see the big picture Dean. It's not all about Sam howell...geez

If Howell continues to cut down on the sacks and finishes top 3 in yards, its gonna be hard for Harris to walk away from EB.

I don't think so.

The new GM would want his choice as HC right?
Harris would have to alter Riveras contract because we are paying him as a president/GM/HC.

Harris would have to tell thr new GM that Rivera is the HC period. I don't think a good GM would want that at all because Rivera is a bad head coach. I am sure a successful GM would want a clean slate and build a team the way they wish to. Just my opinion.

So what if the team puts up 400 Dean?

If the team also gives up 400...so what?

The offense is clicking...good...that doesn't mean the problem is solved and that the defense is magically better. It is a team sport. If you say this weekend will tell alot about the offense, that is one thing. But as a whole, I am not sure what it says other than this is a .500 team.

This is a transition year Dean. You are the only one who doesn't see that because you don't want to. You become fixated on people to save the organization.

First it was Rivera
Then it was wentz
Now it is EB and Howell

Answer the question, is this a good team?
