Fife really?

So I want to stop thinking about yesterdays game. In doing so I offer this up for discussion.

The infamous billboard....Fife? Really Fife?

A+ for the idea, F on the execusion.

For those not familiar with the state of washington. Fife to SEattle is like Sacramento to San Fran..............

Fife? I don't think anyone actually lives there. The city of Fife is comprised of railroad tracks and about five warehouses.

So we get a brick as a part of their new stadium and fly a banner over the game and the best they can do is invoke Hammer's Law from Fife?! Hahahaha, we win this round too!

Everyone I know in fife is a stoner. Maybe they figured it was safer there as stoners don't get worked up enough to vadalize that shit.

Sounds like they wanted to back out of it so they put it in a benign location. I guess refunding the money wasn't an option for them so they had to put a banner up somewhere.

When I heard that it was in Fife, I laughed. Colossal fail.

I was thinking that was as good of a choice as they could have made; no one is going to burn-down that sign, and it is unlikely to even be vandalized. Of course the location does make it a pretty insignificant gesture, but it is certainly better for avoiding escalation to a ridiculous level... now here's hoping someone hacks the sign and comes up with a creative modification to the graphics.

I've heard of Fife, but I can't for the life of me point it out where it is on the map (I had to look). HAHAHA. EPIC FAIL!

They initially wanted to put the banner within 1/2 mile radius of the stadium. Fife is no where near!

Yeah, I saw this this other day and kinda laughed about them putting it in Fife. But, as a commuter that Fife traffic is a damn nightmare, traffic from about 2 - 7 most days.... they certainly will get lots of eyes on that billboard.

The best part about the billboard is every time for the next umpteen years we can throw it back at them. When they lose a game, we can say "is okay, you got 5 championships" "are you old enough to remember?"
Same thing every season when they get eliminated from the playoffs. We will just politely remind niner fans that they have 5 championships.

And better yet, every team in the NFC west could post that billboard on the scoreboard after their team beats the niners and they are walking off the field. Just to remind them that once upon a time, they didn't suck!
