Wow! was not expecting that. I actually dared to watch a few of the last points! Nole lost against Kyrgios. The draw just folded loaded half and unloaded one.
3 in a row?3 in a row for Fed. I hope he makes it 20 or so.
3 wins in a row over the buttpicker.3 in a row?
the thing about this one is that Federer actually rolled him.
Feds new approach, taking the ball inside the baseline, is such an amazing concept. He is cutting the ball off so quickly and taking away precious seconds from his opponent. I have been trying it on the court lately and it is so damn hard to get the ball on the rise like that. You have to live in no-man's land, and that is a damn hard concept to get over.
Rafa on clay was impossible when he was at his best. He never matched up to Feds on other surfaces and therefore isn't considered one of the best. He was a terrific thorn in Roger's side for many years and I appreciate him for that.people forget that when roger and rafa were #1/#2 for a couple of years in a row, they could only ever play in finals. that's where the bulk of their matches came, as #1 and #2.
on his own weakest surface, roger was ALWAYS getting to finals against rafa, and rafa won the majority of those.
but rafa failed time and time and time again to make hard court finals against roger, losing to the likes of Youzhny and Blake as Roger waited for him at the US Open final for years.
if rafa had ever been good enough to consistently make finals on his worst surface to meet #1 on the opposite side of the draw, the current h2h might look very different.
Yep. This win should leave the Fed-hating commentating company of Mats, Brad, The Mac Bros scratching their heads.the thing about this one is that Federer actually rolled him.

also, I don't know if it was my shorts or my boxers last night, but I was doing my best Nadal impression and constantly picking a wedgie while on the court last night. The shorts were not as baggy as some of my other pairs, but they were still comfy outside of the wedgie part.
I did not.Did you sniff your fingers after picking?

yes, at non-majors.Yeah, but Rafa still beat Roger on outdoor hard courts too at non-majors.
Pretty crazy in 2 of the 3 biggest tournaments during the first 3 months of the season, we get Fed/Rafa in the finals
