Each season we can keep as many players as we like in my roto league. If you pickup a FA you get to slot him at the end of the draft. The only catch being each year players move up two rounds. So if you keep a guy in the 10th round the next year he's a 8th round keeper and so on. Until he gets to the top 2 rounds then he gets sent back into the draft. I have 6 FA's I would like to keep. I have openings in the 24th, 20th, 15th, 12th and 11th rounds. I could open up a slot in the 19th round as well if I send Rosenthal back. But I kind of have a soft spot for him. So I might hold onto him. I could also have the 21st pick if I send O Arcia back. As i'm pretty set at SS for awhile I think that could be a good idea. I figure I want Robles and Rodgers in the 24th and 21st spots. Giving me the most time for them to make the majors and produce. How would you slot them? Would you send any of them back into the draft that i'm thinking of keeping?

On a side note I have finished in 2nd place for 4 straight years. So wouldn't mind getting over the hump this year :).

I'm assuming Diaz and Velazquez would be one year holds, as I would think a two round upgrade will be too much for them... I would have a hard time as it is in the 11th and 12th.

Perhaps, RP specifically closers run out pretty quickly. Now I wouldn't want to waste a spot in the 20's for one with the turnover rate. That would be much better used on a hitter with some good upside. My alternative option would be dumping Rosenthal back while putting Velasquez in at 19 and Diaz at 12. I could stomach 12/10/8 for 3 years of service if he could keep things together that long.
