Every B10 team in the top 100 in RPI

Except for Purdue who is 102. All other 11 teams are currently in the top 100. Thats pretty good. It may help teams like Indiana, Minnesota, Illinois as they fight for at large bids if it stays like that.

Well I know record vs top 100 is a criteria for the committee, obviously not as inportant as record vs top 25/50 or whatever but playing so many games vs the top 100 definitely helps your SOS and you dont drop much if you lose a game. All that helps Id guess.

Also ( totally off subject but) if you want t know how Kansas is number 1 in RPI they have played 15 of their 19 games vs the top 100 and 9 of their 19 vs the top 25/12 of 19 vs the top 50.... LOL. WOW!!

LOL, ironically Arizona was my preseason number 1. Preseason Final 4 of Florida, Zona, MSU, Louisville ( Louisville is the only one Im a little shaky on now but their numbers still look decent)

I'm curious to know whether you had heard of TJ McConnell before? I had us at preseason #1 as well, but only due to the knowledge that he was exactly what we had been missing the last few years. I was under the impression that pretty much nobody else around the country understood how big of a difference maker he would be and, IF that was the case, there would be no reason to assume we were anything more than a top 10 team...

I actually had seen Mcconnell at Duquense numerous times over the last few years ago including a game vs Arizona 2(?) years ago when he played an extremely efficient game. Kid could ball at Duquense when he didnt have much talent around him so I knew he'd shine when he had an abundance of it to distribute to.

that explains it! yup i remember walking away from that Arizona/Duquense game thinking, damn who the hell was that short white dude he can BALL. when i heard the news that he was transferring and we were #1 on his list I couldn't have been more excited

This was my final 4 as well.

I really don't see UL making it but honestly can't find a forsure better option and never doubt pitino.

For the record, both the Big10 and the Pac12 have the top 2/3 of their conference in the top-70 of the RPI.

No doubt that Big10 is more frontloaded than the Pac12, but both have some serious depth.

I think, at this moment, Kansas is for sure a better OPTION. Not saying they will make it, since nobody is guaranteed, but I would bet a lot more on KU than UL right now
