1) The format
2) These types of forums are easily moderated. Less trolls the better.

1) The format
2) These types of forums are easily moderated. Less trolls the better.

It's a great format, and the moderators are very fair on here. Anything goes as long as it doesn't troll the team the forum is named after.

Agreed. FB is one of the worse things a person can have. If a person ever wanted to know you or what you was about, just go to FB. People have no idea what they are doing when they get a page there.

The Facebook thing over at ESPN was probably an effort to curb the trolling in the comment sections. It's gonna cost the site some posters who don't want to get Facebook just to post on an ESPN board, but I think it'll definitely decrease the crap that regularly gets posted there. It's a lot easier to post some of the stuff that gets posted there when you're anonymous, but if you have your own name attached to what you write, it might make you think twice about the things you post.

It's easy and fast to make a fake FB account, so I don't think it will do anything to combat trolling.

And even though they say you can still post with a FB account, I don't think it will ever be message board format. It will just be comments based on content that's already there for ESPN live game blogs and stories.

Me too but hopefully since this is just strickly Message Boards someone will keep an eye on it and all the stupid stuff that happened on ESPN wont happen here.
