Lol, you think the Lakers history has nothing to do with it? You dont think the history why the lakers have a huge fanbase? You dont think that huge fanbase is the reason why networks love the Lakers, cowboys, and the Yankees? History has a lot to do with it.

Another irrelevant post by a Lakers fan. Point is their history has nothing to do with ESPN moving them off national TV for better options. If Kobe wasn't on this team we would see how much their history mean because they would be lucky to get 10 national tv games with this roster excluding Kobe.

Its irrelevant to you because you know its the truth. Let me explain it to you again because I know you're a little slow. Teams the like Lakers, cowboys, and the Yankees have very large fan bases around the world. They are huge because of the great history they have. There is also a history of other fans hating them teams. That is a lot of people that either want to see them win or lose. The point is, lakers vs rockets will draw more viewers than wolves vs suns. If you dont believe so, then explain why.

And yes the Lakers wouldn't as many national televised games if kobe wasnt on the team, but they would get more than the suns or wolves if they had the same roster as the lakers.

You have the Lakers, one of the biggest fanbases in the world( shit, not just the city, the world Craig). You have the Rockets who has a large fanbase. You have star players in Howard and Harden. You have Howard playing his old team and all that drama. You have the Lakers haters who love seeing them lose.

But you replace it with wolves vs suns?

Man you know shit about the NBA...:wtf2:

All you Lakers fans talking crap about this move just remember the Suns are 2-0 against you guys and beat you by 27 points last meeting. Literally the Lakers are shit.

It's okay, though. Ya can't win championships on a yearly basis. There will be the down years and we are in them at the present. The Lake Show will be back.

Not a very smart move for ESPN if you ask me, ESPN 710 is the flagship for all of their radio broadcasts and with the Time Warned Channel - ESPN is totally expendable and not needed with dumbasses Shaq Oneal and Charles Barkely yapping their gums. I prefer James Worthy as an analyist every day of the week.

Channel 9 before TWCS HAD MORE viewers locally then the Suns or Wolves had combined:laugh3:

I know I personally choose TWC over ESPN all the time, so this really doesn't matter to me even a little bit and that may have contributed to why it got bumped off ESPN. I wouldn't doubt a lot more Lakers fans being like me when it comes to choosing broadcast teams.

Not every Lakers fan live in LA so they wouldn't have a choice as to which broadcast to watch when it comes to the games on ESPN

Who gives a shit. The better teams should be on national TV and the Lakers blow ass.

Who cares? We are talking about a network who cares about the most viewers. Betters teams dont mean shit compared to teams the would bring more viewers. Network main goals is to get the most viewers. Pay attention!

First time since Kobe era Lakers telecast bumped by national network. Speaks volumes of Kobe's popularity and money making ability to the networks. Let the also-rans Suns and Wolves have their day in the sun, lol

The could always get the NBA league pass though - ESPN just isn't that considerable in the majority of Lakers fans eyes

You act like the league pass is cheap. Unless you're a diehard fan, most people will choose not to spend $200 yearly on the league pass

What do the Lakers and the Rockets have in common? They both haven't won vs. Phoenix this year. :laugh3: Keep bitching though
