Yeah and then he'll bitch about how basketball is soft and not as good as the old days.

I suffer from the bitching at times, but at least I admit I am salty

Speaking of the old school NBA. I'd like to see KD play in the 80's era. He'd get broken in half. And Draymond vs. Charles Oakley? I gotta hundred on Oakley.

Most of these superstars if you just throwed them as is into the 80s would have see a HEAVY drop in offensive production for sure. Handcheck, Bodying, a league not centered around going soft on perimeter players. They would have loads of trouble. Makes it even more amazing what MJ did. If he played today he would be a 40ppg player

If this series goes 7 games.....we might hit 10k in comments since threads get comments even on days between games.

I don't see it happening, as he would take over Simmons' role. What is Simmons going to do, spread the court?

That's what is really interesting about it.

Simmons is James-lite. He needs the ball a lot and they both are essentiallu SF's......

Cleveland had 18 TO's last night and Boston had just 9.

Rarely does a team that has twice as many TO's actually win.

when he came to Cleveland he came to a lotto team, Irving was 22 and had never played a playoff game, Love was 26 and had never played a playoff game. Dion Waiters was 22 and had never played a playoff game.

Exactly why he could end up on the Lakers.

Let's be honest, these superstars have huge egos. He's been to the Finals a bunch of times and superstars like him......think they can be THE GUY to bring a bunch of youngsters back to the playoffs and the team's former glory.

Not to mention, he gets to pick Magic's brain daily and all the other off the court things he's involved with.

The only way Lebron would head to the Lakers is if they dumped the kids and brought in superstars in their primes now. Lebron doesn't have a whole lot of years left of prime ball and he needs more 'ships. He won't get that with the Lakers as is. He would also find it MUCH more difficult to the finals in the West than he does the East every year. They would have to strike up some deal to where they bring in Anthony Davis or Kawahi Leonard to join Lebron.

This is definitely the post I have seen from you that I agree with the most.

If LEBron goes to the Lakers the youngsters would be gone in trades so fast it would make your head spin. They would be dealt for veterans ASAP.....LeBron at 30 wasnt interested in playing with Wiggins who was a way better prospect at the time than anyone the Lakers have--- and he sent him packing forimmediate help....4-5 years of aging isnt going to make him more patient.

I think people have a very distorted view of what 80s basketball was really like because they picture the Pistons and think that it was so violent that they would just crush the pussies of today.

Kevin Durant looks frail because he's so tall but he's actually not frail at all. Reggie Miller thrived in the 90s and the guy was a beanpole.

The conditioning of guys like Lebron and Freak and AD would absolutely terrorize those 80s cheetos eaters.
