Boston's 3 pt shooters need to hit shots in this series when the Cavs trap Thomas. If they do that- itll be a good series.

If they dont itll be over very quickly.

Cavs have the obvious advantage on the boards which is something they need to exploit.

Love/Thompson/LeBron is a helluva front court to try and rebound against. Thomas needs to get guys in foul trouble as well if he can- prefrably Kyrie if you are a Celtics fan. Bradley needs to do a number on Kyrie- but honestly- i think he was the best Kyrie defender i saw in the entire regular season- better than Klay Thompson.

The Celtics have pieces and depth---- guys like Olnyk that can have a big game and tip a game or two.

Itll be interesting.

Im picking Cavs in 5- but i think its more likely to go 6 than it is to be a sweep. Cavs - as much as i would like them to- i dont think they are going 12-0 in the East--- though if they did id laugh my ass off over all the bullsit about their defense in MARCH AND APRIL. lol.

i mean- the ping pong balls matter if you trade the pick

look at guys like Towns and Wiggins who have been in the league for a little while now.....Fultz isnt helping you anytime soon in a major way against the Cavs. maybe 3-4 years down the line.

if you trade it for a George or a Butler- than you might be on to something. Its a tough decision for Ainge.
if they get #1, they take fultz. he starts next year. they stay atop the east as he develops. i think fultz is more dynamic than both of the guys you mentioned.

fultz
brown
thomas

not a bad group to start with. i think jalen grows up next year.

i wouldnt mind trading the pick either. depends where they fall...hell, if they get 3 im ok. its a nice top 10 this year.

i mean Fultz has great potential.....but Towns was a much better prospect....Wiggins was a better prospect too

What im saying is that its gonna be at least 3 seasons before Fultz is ready to be a main type guy that can win a playoff series for you.

i think Jaylen has developed nicely as well. Fultz is the best prospect in this draft i think considering Ball's baggage.

Boston has homecourt and is healthy, playing well.
Cavs have James.
James>Homecourt.

I say Cavs in 6.
If they do it faster, gotta tip your cap.

I am guessing Horford goes back to his old self pretty much the entire series. I think he will be forced to take outside shots so he better be hitting them. And if he does they will live with it all day.

Don't sleep on Boston. I know it is extremely unlikely but man if they're able to hold serve these first 2 games in the Garden then that changes everything.

Forced to take outside shots? You do realize that's what he like to do right? He isn't some low post player. My biggest issue with Horford when it comes to the Cavs is his lack of rebounding

I agree it will be hard fought.
Forget the last Cavs/Celtics game.
It was just a really bad night for Boston.

I agree. How tough the series ends up being might come down to whether the Cavs come out in Game 1 like they did vs Toronto, or whether they come out in Game 1 like the Warriors did vs SA.

^ This is an odd commentary after Horford just lit up the Wizards to the tune of 60+% from 3 pt land.

^^^This^^^

Horford doesn't have to win the rebounding battle with TT. But he can't get destroyed. If he can at least hold his own on the boards, he'll increase the Celtics chances of making this a very competitive series.

I don't think the Celtics can win the series, no matter how well he plays, but he can be a big reason they extend it to 6 or even 7 games.

It's nice the Celtics got to the ECF. But I don't see them beating the Cavs. Series goes 5 or maybe 6.

He has played in the pist this last series more than I have seen him in awhile. He wont last long with TT in the paint.
