first down throw. 2nd down run with wentz doing the "kill" sign. now, maybe i'm just imagining shit.. but it seems like every time he does that, it's just a dive up the middle. and it seems like it gets crushed by the defense because they.. well, know it's a fucking dive up the middle? then the worthless 3rd down incompletion.

i wonder how many points we'd really have if he just ran the ball steady.

Well, he's not going anywhere. Get real. Just have to hope he improves after this rookie year as HC. If Howie gets him 2 CBs and 2 WRs, we'll be better next year. We all realistically knew when they made the Bradford deal that this was going to be a learning year for Wentz.

The team can ACTUALLY run the ball when they try to run the ball.
Baltimore was the #1 rated run defense, and the team was able to run the ball.

People gave Andy Reid 2.0 a free pass by arguing the team cannot run the ball.
The idea that they were forced to pass it on every play because the running game is inept...was bullshit.

Even with a dominant running game today, the Eagles still managed to call 47 pass plays.
173 pass plays in the last 3 games for those keeping score at home.

Andy Reid 2.0 = 3 years of nonstop passing and a new coaching search in 2019.

We have some good run blockers on the OL ... I actually think the OL isn't a huge problem going forward as we have some solid young players. Add depth in free agency as well as the draft and we're ok there. Gotta get a true #1 threat at receiver and Wentz has to find a way to stop airmailing passes.

No disagreement on going for two at the end. You are in last place and had a chance to shock a good team. Not a fan of the specific playcall. But I don't take issue with going for the win.

I think we need a stud difference maker on this team, no matter what position he plays. take a look at the roster. How many pro bowl level guys do we have? Hicks? Cox? Wentz (in a year or two)? I can't stand any of the DBs. They can't hit hard, much less intimidate. A complete overhaul of the secondary is mandatory. Howie better find a way to restructure some contracts to get cap room, and sign a few quality free agents, and draft 2 CBs, and 2 WRs, and add to the free agents. If not, we are going to be in last place in our division for another 2 years or more. I'm still not blaming Wentz for anything. I believe he will be a stud within 2 years.

Jenkins could be pro bowl caliber. Overhaul the rest of the secondary. But we do have an anchor there.

Early in the game i was pissed. The OL looked awful and the plays looked like, "everybody run around and wait for Wentz to make a play". the D was giving up big plays.

But they pulled it together and they didn't quit. No problem going for 2. Don't necessarily like the play when the run was your bread and butter all day but on the road needing a win, i liked going for 2.

Correct, if he kicks the extra point, and with the line of scrimmage pushed back to the 15, making it a 22 yard kick, and misses it, then he gets 2nd guessed again, He can't win. the media, esp Barkann, never gives him credit. We also have a game this Thursday, and if we played another quarter in OT, well, who knows? Lets just chalk this season up to what it is - rebuilding! Next year will be a different story, and we can hold the organization more accountable.
