Eagles at Giants - Week 15

It's more important than ever now to secure Home Field advantage throughout the Playoffs ... especially getting that first round bye. Foles gets a week of prep to take on the 2 win Giants and next week we get the Raiders at Home where we are undefeated this season. We need Foles to summon his inner Alex Smith and at least play a solid game manager the next two weeks while we run the heck out of the ball and play good D. I would like to see us go into the Dallas game week 17 with Home-Field locked up.

The only good thing about the Wentz injury is the timing of it. Foles get's back to back winnable games where he can build some confidence as well as get important/must-have reps heading into the post season. If the injury would have happened week 17, it would have been very difficult for Foles to re-adjust to the speed of the game for the start of the playoffs.

Giants have worse defense against QB (for fantasy points). That should give Foles a soft enough first challenge. Of course....they might just be amped up for this one. But I think if we come out doing it right we can stave off a fired up Giants D and have them cooled off by the 2nd Q.

To do that the playcalls to utilize Foles have to be right. The play calling has been so right almost all year. A little squirelly the last two weeks...and thats where my concern comes in.

It is the right game to get right with a new QB....however....it could get dicey for a bit if they dont play it right. And you just dont want to be on the road in a division game against any team and let them hang in.

All said....I think its done right. Weather looks like a complete non issues as well.

I think that if we lock up HFA, the starters will play at least one quarter against the girls, and mix and match players the balance of the game. I hope so, as I won't be in the mood to see the girls run up and down the field, and act like they're a good team. So much for going to the last game of the regular season again.

i expect the eagles to throw it a lot today. it's obviously the smart move, so i hope they do. foles has a few weeks to get rolling with the receivers. i'd like to see some heavy pass protection packages with all types of patterns. hopefully the giants don't offer much competition and the eagles can mess around with shit as the game goes along.

it's crucial to flash the deep ball with foles and make it a threat to push back the attacking playoff defenses we'll face.
