Likely UCF gets dropped to the Fiesta.

The sugar bowl will be the one who benefits the most.
The Fiesta still picks last and its unlikely the sugar bowl will still take UCF.

But the Big 12 might still benefit if the Sugar decides it wants Baylor/Oklahoma instead of Oregon.

The Big 12-SEC has their champions bowl thing.

Much like the Rose Bowl tends to select PAC10/Big 10, the Sugar bowl will be encouraged to take Big 12/SEC whenever possible.

If Baylor is sitting there at 11-1, I am not sure the Sugar bowl will take a 2-loss Oregon.

They really want to make this "SEC/BIG 12" champions bowl thing a tradition.

Since UCF is going to end up in the Fiesta....

It is entirely possible that the runner up in the Big 12 gets a better game and better marquee opponent.

While the Big 12 champion might get stuck playing UCF, no offense to them.

Why would 10-2 Oregon get in over an 11-1 Baylor team that is lined up with the Champions Bowl (SEC-Big 12) tradition?

Oregon's best hope is that 1 of 2 things happen:

1. Texas or Oklahoma pulls an upset now.
2. Orange Bowl really likes Alabama-Oregon and says screw the ACC tie in with Clemson.

I would be the first to say...the way the Ducks came down the field on the last drive of THIS YEARS Civil War cannot be dismissed...FUCKERS drove it down our throats and scored on a pass play that is a Duck staple play.

BOORAY I say...

Give em a shot, they deserve it! :suds:

Pretty sure Oregon's in no matter what happens. NIU vacated a slot.

Is OD off his ban tomorrow?

I'm not as confident that Oregon is in as some of you all seem to be. There are 6 AQ conferences. The AAC isn't sending an extra. That's 4 spots for 5 conferences.

Clemson to the Sugar seems likely. Michigan State to the Rose Bowl seems likely. Alabama is in. That leaves Big 12 vs Pac 12 for a spot in the Orange Bowl, so who will the Orange want more, Baylor (or Oklahoma if the Sooners win Bedlam) or Oregon? I'm not so sure they pass on the Big 12 team for a Ducks team that's backing into this.

I guess I wonder why you see Clemson so sure to be picked. They are (10-2) At Large. If they were a one loss team, sure.

I guess the opinion is the Orange Bowl will pull a Rose Bowl and stay with their conference tie in if possible.
