Really? Google not working for you?

So he it was important to rep a gang when honoring his fallen friend? Seems a bit misguided. Absent the gang, maybe his friend is still here.

His friend got out of the gang life and was a community activist. Repping that old life only reinforces that violent lifestyle that took him away.

Again, you know this from your personal experience and struggles?
You go and try to live their lives and see how it goes.

I'm not really that familiar with Nipsey, but everything I've read and seen about him points to him being a guy who didn't glamorize his gang lifestyle. What he did was he mentioned and didn't shy away from it to show others who got caught up in that lifestyle that there is a way out.

He not only promoted social justice, but he was about teaching the youth to invest in real estate and businesses. To become entrepreneurs and their own independent entities.

Here's what was posted on twitter the day he died:

My point exactly. He escaped that lifestyle and was making a difference.
