This is the player taking Edwards spot on the roster.

Very interesting player, though I can't say I know much at all about him. From reading up -- he has been signed and released by quite a few teams, but man, he has some sick numbers from the combine.

I'm confused though, as they list him as a TE, though he is only 6'1" and 226 lbs. At the combine, he ran a 4.40 flat and had a 43 inch vertical. I can see Detroit is enamored with the physical freak athletes, though pretty much anyone in the NFL falls into that category.

I will be interested to see how he is used with Detroit. If this guy is running that fast with that vertical -- I cannot imagine him being a TE. Maybe Detroit plans to use him on the outside.

Dickerson, a seventh-round pick of the Texans in 2010, caught nine passes in 11 games for the Bills last season. Dickerson was released at the end of the summer, but played a similar receiving-focused role for the Bills that Scheffler has filled for the Lions. How much he’ll play remains to be seen after Joseph Fauria caught three touchdowns as the complement to Brandon Pettigrew on Sunday.

He played WR in college. Kind of an H-back in the NFL so far.

With his size and speed he could be a good slot option for us, seems like a versatile match-up to me. If he can play special teams he's got a shot to stick...

Yup, We added Ross whom we scooped up from GB. He looks like a Durham clone. Maybe now they have found a use for a player like Durham and want to insure that type of WR.

Looks like a Durham clone? He's a 6'0" tall speed receiver who isn't white...

I read an article (roto I think) that said he was 6'3 215. I checked the Lions site and you are right he is only 6'0. He is good at special teams like Durham too. Saw nothing about him being a speedster, but that is certainly a bonus.

Not concerned with his skin color.

I was just joking about the skin color thing because Durham is tall and white, Ross is shorter (6'0" isn't short for a WR, but compared to Durham he's a lot shorter) and black.

He ran in the 4.4 range at his pro day and a couple of sites showed him cracking into the 4.3 range, so he's definitely got some wheels. His numbers all-around were pretty impressive- good vertical and good bench for a WR.

He started the year as Green Bay's primary return man, butt was cut after muffing a punt deep in his own territory.

Not sure if he'll stick, but he's got the tools and plays special teams, so he's got a shot, especially with Burleson still out...
