I think a 3-4 finish will get them in. Which means assuming they beat tcu and Texas Tech, they either have to beat OU at home, Baylor on the road(both w/out Smart) or beat K St at home. Don't see them beating KU or Iowa St.

3-4 will probably put them in the 7/10 game against tcu. Can't afford a loss there but a win would put them at 20-12 going into the quarter finals of the big 12 tourney. Beat the #2 seed they are definitely in. Lose and they are 20-13, which will have them sweating, but I think that gets them in. Having analyzed a lot of these bubble teams, it is really weak this year. I mean we could be looking at a 10 or 11 loss WCC team getting an at large this year.

Problem is, he isn't injured. He caused this.

And they look at that stuff if you started your slide when the player went out. They were free falling even with Smart.

If the committee takes a 7-11 conference team that would be a travesty.

It's really going to come down to how the committee vs the atrocious conference record.

There is a very real chance they finsh 7-11 in conference but still a decent resume overall.

What do you do there? I think 7-11 is unacceptable to be a tourney team but we'll see.

There has been a grand total of 1 team in NCAA history to get an at large being 4 games under .500 in conference play ( 1998 Florida State ). That said an OK State team that finishes 7-11 in league play will probably have a mid 40's RPI, an SOS in the top 20, a 4-1 neutral court record, 7 top 100 wins, 4 top 50 wins. The resume itself will certainly be as good as if not better than a lot of the other teams the Cowboys will be in competition with. I still think OK State would need at least a trip to the B12 semis to gain serious consideration but the numbers arent terrible but man they feel that way... LOL

No need to jump on me I am saying they absolutely shouldn't get in but they would have numbers that support the notion.
