Dodgers v Giants

Hoping the Dodgers can take at least two of three. Not holding my breath with Beckett and Maholm pitching in this Series.

All Juan Uribe offense. Bullpen still shit. Defense still shit. Hope May brings better results.

235 million buys you an April joke. This team has a long way to go to be legit. Shocked that 235 million buys you such a poor defensive, fundamentally unsound, spotty bullpen with a line up that is awful at situational hitting. Wow. Embarrassing. I'd rather lose with McCourt and his cheap shit line up then watch these overpaid hacks embarrass the Dodger legacy even more.

I hardly think the Dodgers are an embarrassment, though I do agree that they have a tendency to cause problems for themselves on defense and the BP has struggled from time to time early on.

Dodgers could have used two LHRP's tonight, but, of course we are stuck with Brandon League who promptly came in and lost the game. When will the FO get over the money issue and get rid of this guy?

Hard to complain much when the Dodgers are tied for 1st place.

If there is an embarrassment on this team, it is League. How many games are the Dodgers willing to lose before they do something with him?

On another topic, has anyone noticed that the in-game strategy has improved this year with Wallach as bench coach? So far there haven't been nearly as many bone headed managerial moves as in the past.

Completely agree, the in-game strategy has improved. It was actually Bochy making suspect moves until the end. With runners on first and second, no outs (Giants losing 2-1) and Brandon Crawford up, Bochy does have him bunt. He K's and the next batter grounds into a DP. Wow.

And I'm sorry guys, when you have have a $235 million payroll and you flub first baseman to pitcher exchanges, you mangle turning two, you can't lay a bunt down to advance a runner.... it's embarrassing any time of the year.

Oh, and when I saw it was probably going to go into Bonus Baseball, I wondered something. What would Vin do if the game went really long, like 20+ innings. You think he'd hang in there and call the whole game?

I think he'd bow out once he too tired. I'm sure they have a contingency plan. But lets not forget, this is what keeps Vin going - he loves what he does.

No need to post about game2. The dodgers did not even show up.

Dodgers lost a tough game. Maholm actually pitched better than I thought he would, though I wouldn't ever pin my hopes on him.

Hanley escaped serious injury to his hand tonight which is obviously a good thing. One more game tomorrow. Maybe the Dodgers can salvage one game and leave SF in a tie.

Not overly concerned about this team. Besides, I think they get the Diamondbacks again after the Giants' Series.

Yeah, Dodgers pull out a win and head home tied for First Place.

Happy to see Gonzalez hitting the ball so well early on. We need to hand the D-Backs another sweep and bury them.

Who goes out when Kershaw is re-activated? Mahlom ? League ?
