Both the Citrus (ABC) and Outback (ESPN) are starting at 12:00 pm (ET).

They could have started the Outback (ESPN) at 11:00 am (ET) and the Citrus (ABC) at 2:00 pm (ET). If the Citrus (ABC) ran more than 3 hrs it wouldn't have conflicted with the Rose (ESPN) at 5 pm (ET).

Yes. I corrected them.

This is why you invest in a TV with pip.
Or they go it solo.

Which CFB fan doesn't have two TV's going anyway?

I have the volume down on the game I care least about, or the game Beth Mowins is commentating.

You'll be watching the Auburn game in the garage while the real fans watch Alabama on the boat.

I know someone in Bama, that'll be watching it in her outhouse.

Lose more games next time and you won't have to worry about the NYD congestion.
Now there's a strategy. If we ain't gonna make the CFP, how many games do we need to lose in order to get to a bowl we want to go to.

My problem began when they were both on the same day, because I went to Alabama and the Wife and oldest son went to Auburn, and I'm in Tampa and he's in Orlando, we were going to hit both bowl games...til one of us consulted the schedule. Although they are both usually on the 1st this isn't always the case...this would have been a good year to have them on different dates. Selfish I know, but I went to Alabama, narcissism comes with the package.

Rooting for UTEP this year has taught me that there is a direct correlation between winning games and going to bowls...who knew?

I hope Mullen has the same recruiting philosophy that you do, that Florida Tranfer Portal will be like the teleportation deck on Star Trek.

Companies that ignore their existing customer base to pursue new ones are equally foolish.
What I'm saying is that if college football ended tomorrow, you'd have 60,000 people at the Hoover HS football games.....

...and we are in desperation mode next year. We went heavy on the JC route. Maybe we can entice a few out of the transfer portal. Personally, I like that strategy. We ain't gonna get good 'ens out of high school anyway. And this way if a mistake is made you don't have 'em as long!

Good deal. I heard this week that we had 17 million attend Texas HS football games this year. They were expecting 250,000+ at Jerry's World this past Wednesday-Saturday for the 12 finals games. Don't know what the final attendance figures were.

I don't know about 60k, but when I was at Alabama, my apartment was across the street from Tuscaloosa Central, they had 21,000 for a game with Robert E. Lee Academy out of Montgomery.

I know Southlake Carroll had 46,000 or so back in '06 at Texas Stadium, I think that is the most since the 70's...crazy.

Seems like the portal is the new JC almost. There are a couple of schools, Houston comes to mind, that seem like they are actively recruiting from it.

How could they not realize they were losing half of the all-important Alabama market?
