Dion Jordan, 3rd pick in 2013, is being suspended for 2015 season for another substance abuse policy violation, league sources told ESPN.

Interesting part is that Eagles and Dolphins were nearing a trade for Dion Jordan. Then came the diluted sample and suspension. So no deal.

While Dion Jordan did not fail a drug test, per sources, NFL determined one of his test samples was diluted, which counts as a strike.

Seems pretty Weak to suspend a guy with no definitive proof.

lol this one I nailed (in terms of draft bust). Was speedy in college but all his sacks were on plays where the line breakdown or the QB made a boneheaded decision. He never got any leverage, ran past the right tackle like 15 yards down field, and was terrible in coverage.

He was a bust from day 1. Even more hilarious the Dolphins traded up for him. Not to say I get every pick right. I think my biggest recent blunder was thinking JJ Watt would be average (like a 5-6 sack or so a season guy). That was a big woops. Didn't think he'd bust, but didn't think he'd come close to being the best DE in the game.

Pretty sure that somewhere on the internet you can find me calling Watt a poor man's Justin Smith. :pound:

And yeah Jordan I thought was going to be a bust too. He was the ultimate boom/bust player and when you see those players they more often bust than boom.

Ray and Gregory are waking up this morning pretty pissed at Jordan for reminding NFL GM's 2 days before the draft about the possible extreme negatives of taking a pass rusher with off the field substance issues.

Pretty much what I thought of him. That's a good way to put it. "Poor man's Justin Smith." That's still not terrible since Justin Smith is one of the best 3-4 DEs to play in recent years, but yah.

As others have said figured the guy would bust, can't believe Miami traded up for him.

As the no. 3 overall pick he certainly defines BUST given he has as many suspensions as sacks.

I am just glad this happened before Chip could complete the trade. Chip needs to get off the nuts of every Oregon player.

It would be interesting to see what it was Chip was willing to give up for him. Jordanclearly wasn't an every down player in this league up to this point. Can't believe it would be a ton that Kelly would give up but also tough to believe that Miami would give him up for peanuts considering how much they invested in him.

He's also not appealing it so enough said. What a waste of youth...and to think that he's not only losing 5.6 M this year but potentially his career...crazy! Glad Ireland's gonzo...

Well they have proof that he handed over a diluted sample. Not sure what else you'd want.
The 1st year they collected samples in the military, I was asked for a sample. I poured pure beer in the cup and handed it in. Never heard a word. Next time they want to watch you as you fill the cup, you know who to blame....

Another NFL Duck bust. Nothing new. Especially those from the Kelly era.

Most were shaking their heads at the trade up to grab a player based almost entirely on potential, rather than proven talent.

Chip will probably trade for him next year. He won't be able to help himself.
