That the redskins and bengals week 8 London game means redskins will be on a bye week the Sunday/Monday before the election. That means that they won't help spoil the election this year.

I highly doubt the league cares about the election. They just want to know what will get them the most money

Well I mean people liked to debate about the election results based on the redskins' opponents each pre-election weekend/election week. Like if Washington team wins, the incumbent party wins and if the other team wins, the other party wins. Although that didn't work last time.

Oh who cares about the election. We'll still be paying $3.00 for gas and 35% of our earnings as tax $. Do people still vote these days? I seriously question the mental health of anyone that votes... nothing changes. You just have some other douche that gets a free hotel residence for 4-8 years and invites NFL players in... .while doing nothing and checking with Congress before announcing crap to the public.

This was probably an intentional move by the league. If anything can compete with the NFL for ratings it's probably the presidential election.

I'm guessing democrats were lobbying the NFL for a Browns @ Redskins game on election week.

I don't suppose it could be because less than 50% of the adult population votes is the reason NOTHING CHANGES, right? Discouraging people from voting is asinine and precisely why the system is full of shitty elected officials.

How did this turn into a political thread? This was about the redskins not playing before election week.

Huh? How does the redskins on a bye week affect ratings? They were likely a 1:00 home game otherwise.
