One must remove the OU win for Rich. So, his final stat at WVU was 6-16 against year end ranked opponents.

Rich owns one more win over year end ranked opponents than Dana. He accumulated this fete over 7 years compared to Dana's 5.

Where are the wins?

Stewart owned 2 wins over year end ranked opponents in 3 years.

Dana won as many his first year.

Look at the all-conference teams. Provide for me a sketch of what you find.

Bet you'll be surprised at what you learn...
Bet ya never see it.

Here is the only number that matters: 5

That's DH's highest conference win total. That includes historically bad KU,bad ISU, coaching change TT, down/bad Texas on the slate every year and he has found a way to lose to all of them.

He had better win a few more or he is gone. No stat, record or excuse will be accepted.

As Shane Lyons looks to be as big a dumb ass as some of our fans, I expect he'll push Dana out the door so he can bring a true Mountaineer like himself back to Morgantown. Doc hopefully can be brought back home, and as the Big 12 dissolves, he can bring back the glory of winning after WVU is accepted into CUSA.

There is no way Shane will take an educated look at Dana's record and determine his program has faced its most difficult challenge in history.

Tough conference to win enough to satisfy Mountaineer Nation. 2015 - #5 OU... #7 TCU... #13 BU... #20 Okie St.

2014 - #3 TCU... #4 Bama... #7 BU... #18 KSU.

WVU needs to win more...

Exactly, the wins are not going to come when you have a coach that makes risky/dumb decisions like Dana does during games, those things lead to loses so.... not enough wins = fired, that's big time college football.

Lyons is giving dana a chance, he is throwing him a life rope, now if he can keep from hanging himself with it.

Hey GR, did I miss your post providing us a WVU perspective of the Big 12 all-conference teams since WVU joined?

Lyons hasn't thrown Dana a life rope. Lyons has only proven what a dumb fuck he is.

Look at it this way... Dana has already proven he is big time. He's won more games against top 25 schools in 5 years as HC than Rich did... 5 for Dana to 4 for Rich.

So... Lyons should have enough evidence to see Dana can coach. Now, Dana was offered a POS contract which he appropriately turned down. If Dana's team has a big year this year, he will be in position to get a hell of a lot more money than what he was offered. Other schools with openings will be calling with big money.

Lyons essentially screwed his school by his life rope. Now... they will pay...

 If he so "big time" then where was his offers THIS year?

Did his name come up when USC and their perfect weather for his offense needed a new HC? USC is a big time program but...

Miami was looking for a big time coach,

Did I miss where VT had him on the short list when they hired a guy from MEMPHIS? I mean VT aint USC but..

Was there a pro team making enquiries after they fired their coach that wasn't reported?

Sorry but coaches that only win 5 conference games and cant get players on an all conference team when the conference is DOWN isn't big time. Mr. Lyons is obviously thinking he can hire a big time guy if Dana has another middle of the road year.

You have no idea if Dana or his agent received any offers THIS year! Absolutely no idea... like in NONE!

I'm sorry, but big time coaches like Dana get pay raises and extensions every year when they compete in Big Boy conferences where winning 5 conference games is considered a challenge.

We ain't talking CUSA and Doc Holliday.

Look at what has happened at UW... Tennessee...

What side of the argument you on GR? You call out Dana for not winning enough although he gets all of these kids in the draft... Then you say he can't get players on the all-conference team?

Go home... you are drunk!

Big time wins when the conf is down.....are you saying the Big 12 has been down since we have arrived? MIND BLOWN

I also want to ask the question.....which loss do you directly call on DH's playcalling? Which game was playcalling on offense the only factor in the loss?

If anyone thinks otherwise they no little to nothing about football!...there isn't a team in the Big12 with the exception of Kansas at this moment that can't line up on Saturday's that shouldn't believe they Don't have a chance to win..and that has nothing to do with the conference being down...it has everything to do with IMHO having some of the best HC's in the country ... and a soon as Matt Campbell and Dave Beaty get up and running they should both have huge impacts at ISU and Kansas...

Hey GR! You still drunk?

If you ain't drunk no more, you explain yourself for us? Why you feel Dana is good enough to coach his boys up to get 'em drafted, but ain't good enough to coach 'em up to make all-conference?

Where are the wins?

You read that link? Another 4 star player slips through his hands. Prob an all Big12/NFL talent....wasted.

5 wins Dana, 5 in years when the Big12 cant get teams in the playoff, and when they do they get blown out by an ACC team and lags behind the other P5's in NFL draft picks..

What is he gonna do ( if he manages to still be here) when the Big12 REALLY starts getting in gear when Texas and KState are back and God forbid the conference picks up Houston and turns ol Tommy Herman and that Houston recruiting loose? We need a big time coach boys, not an OC (albeit a good one, Ill never say the guy cant coach offense, he can) that's posing as a HC.

What are you talking about? Now you're mad because the kid got kicked off the team for something the kid did which violated team rules? Can't have it both ways, GR. Hopefully this kid will either find a team that will tolerate his actions or grow up and learn from this. You claimed the program was burning down due to some stupid action of a player at a hotel during the Cactus Bowl. It seems that you do not care about the results stemming from these actions but care more that it happened under DH's watch. What would Doc do? My guess is sweep it under the rug because the kid came to college to play football, not play football and attempt to be a model citizen as he grows up.
