Click my link above. Based on the gap between his xwOBA rating vs. his actual wOBA rating, he IS making hard contact, just not getting rewarded for it as often as he should. That doesn't explain the low HR numbers, but does help explain his sub-.300 average.

Don't even bother with Iffy ... he's looking for someone to stalk on this forum ... like doug on the AL Central Forum.

Miggy went track yesterday to right center. With the wind blowing in.

He's fine.

Buck Farmer isn't, he's coming off the best showing of his career.

20 pitchers have seen game action for the Tigers.

And there was only one team that had only used 5 starters by the time Farmer got his first start.

Not good.

What is the word on Verlander's groin? LOL. I would assume Ms Upton has been working on it.

The time has come.....blow this team up......they are not playing and management is not going to get rid of the manager....my thoughts are get rid of the manager first and see if they start playing.

I thought you ripped people for calling for firings. I've been saying this is the wrong manager since 2014.

Mr. T.Sucks,
I'd like to raise a few questions.

A. Various versions of Detroit's front office have been satisfied with Brad Ausmus for over 3 seasons. Why would you trust THEM to pick a successor. If he has been so lousy for that length of time - do you want those guys selecting the next manager?

B. You are aware that Brad Ausmus' likely replacement would be Lloyd McClendon (if not Gene Lamont!) ??????

C. Since ALL managers will eventually be fired, by you stating that Ausmus should have been fired in 2014, doesn't that just set you up, sooner or later, for the much sought-after "I told you so"? You could call for Ausmus' replacement to be fired after the first day on the job - and repeat the "I told you so", eventually. Correct?

D. Of course, I need to bring up the fact that Ausmus does not procure the players he manages. (Examples: Zimmerman, Upton, Pelfrey, etc) That does not excuse him completely, of course.....just my view that no manager makes or breaks a team.

E. Finally...you must also be aware that Brad Ausmus will most likely be managing a major league team in 2018, even if it is not the Tigers.

Sell! Sell! Sell!!!

Outside of JD Martinez, Detroit doesn't have a lot of valuable pieces to sell. No one is going to touch Verlander, Cabrera, Upton, or Zimmermann....unless Detroit eats most of their contracts. There isn't a pitcher in the bullpen worth two cents except J. Wilson and maybe Greene....and they aren't going to bring back anything special in return. Outside of JD, Detroit could make any moves they want to make during the off season. They won't miraculously save themselves at the end of July. Got nothing - get nothing.
