5 innings with no runs given up ruined with a terrible 6th inning. JV amazingly was almost at 100 pitches after 5 against a weak Minny lineup. Loading the bases with no one out should have signaled him done. BA decides to let him go on, giving up a 2 run hit. Then you bring in Jimenez in a ridiculous spot. Seriously this kills me with managers today. You use your best pitcher for the situation, and at this point (either bases loaded or after JV gives up the hit, doesn't matter) it has to be J. Wilson. Unfortunately, a lot of managers are locked into this 7th, 8th, closer mentality which is beyond stupid. BA is a strict disciple of it to boot.
