3975 yards allowed / 72.7 % completion percentage / 33 tds 10 int / 106.5 QB rating

19th in yards allowed
25th in yards per attempt
32nd in completion percentage (72.7 % is actually the worst of all time)
31st in touchdown passes allowed
26th in interceptions
31st in sacks
32nd in opposing QB rating

This plays right into our strengths this year on offense. Russell is one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the league, Detroit is giving up an all time worst 72.7 % completion percentage. Our weakness has been protecting our quarterback, Detroit is one of the worst at getting to the quarterback. Russ is above average going deep and has the weapon to go vertical, Detroit is 25th in yards per attempt.

I'm not saying abandon the run game, but given the match up I think it's best we rely on our passing game. Supplement the lack of a run game with high percentage passes, run more uptempo and take advantage of the Detroit secondary.

It looks really good, but we have seen statistically bad defenses look good against this offense too many times to just assume we will exploit and take advantage of our opponents weaknesses.

Yeah I couldn't believe it when I saw that stat yesterday. It makes sense though. I watched parts of the SNF game and Rodgers was getting a good 8 seconds to throw on a lot of his pass attempts. Granted, he also has an offensive line in front of him that apparently grades out at the top of the league at three positions, so that contributed to all the extra time he had to throw; but if our offensive line can give Wilson about 5 seconds to throw, I think Russell can have a really good day.

The key is can our defense start playing better... I"m about tired of these zones having massive holes in them.... I say let's man lock more, send more heat at times...

That's the key... If our defense can play up to their expectations, we'll win this game but Stafford has turned into an excellent QB... With the busted coverages we've been seeing, i'm a bit concerned about the pass defense of this team...

Not sure why I feel this way but I think our offense will play well this weekend... Well enough for us to win this game... I think we'll need at least 24 to win this game...

Detroit's secondary is pretty abysmal and they have one of the worst pass rush efficiency ratings in the NFL.

This means Wilson will go 12/26 with 1 TD, 2 INTs, and 102 yards, and Seattle will rush for 402 yards and 4 TDs.

It's not our offense that concerns me. It is our defense.

Both teams have underperformed so far this year. We both have similar problems, a weak OL and no running game.
We should win by at least 10, but this is why they play the game.

We have been playing 2 special teams gunners at cb recently.

Slay is back, but the other side is super weak. We are so low on corners we play a safety in nickel situations.........good luck Russell!!!!

Probably 4 games that qualify. First SF game, Carolina, Jets, and Falcons.

Against, AZ, they showed up... That's all that matters... Who cares when they showed up... Why do you have to find the negative in everything?

Im sorry if only showing up for one quarter isnt good enough for me.

Maybe we dont lose 5 games if our offense is MIA most of the game.

You would think winning the game is the ultimate objective but it seems for you that there are style points that need to be factored in as well.

Its a pattern that has been going on for years with this team. The offense sputters for a quarter or two or three before it starts moving.

A pattern that aligns with the team being one of the winningnest teams in the NFL.

5 straight years with 10 or more wins. Something this club has never done and actually no many other clubs have done EVER. But let's blow it up.

Stop worrying, you can mail this one in. Lions have an aversion tonthe playoffs.... They didnt wanna make it, and they dont wanna be there... Its like unwanted overtime.

In spite of the offense, largely not because of it. Given the same schedule the patriots would have more 13 win seasons because they dont sputter against bad teams like we have.

So many missed opportunities because of the inept offense we run.
