Penn State football releases initial 2013 season depth chart

No real surprises, no starting QB named. I still hope they don't name one and on the first play go Wildcat with Belton as starting QB

Jay and Hall would have neither QB ready, BOB will have both ready, big difference. I'm confident the best will start, not the guy who has paid his dues and kicked around the program for 4 years so he gets the nod.

He already said both will play. That said, he made it clear the starter will play the majority, but other guy will get some looks. Not a McGloin/Bolden like situation with even split breaking rhythm constantly. If Hack or Fergy come out smoking, I imagine they won't switch until game in hand.

Problem for me is this either means that they are both looking awesome or both looking not awesome.

The odds would favor not awesome. Had hoped one would pull away.

You'd be betting the wrong odds then. Everyone who has visited their camp (media and a few local coaches) has said how good the QBs look and how impressive Hack has been.

I heard and read the same thing that both qb's have done great. Its a great thing to have 2 good qb's to pick from compared to picking the best from the worst. If both are equal then BOB needs to just pick one now.

Maybe he wants to see both against a live opponent instead of practice to see how they react in that scenario before settling on one if they are indeed that close.
