All you need to know about Caldwell is that no other NFL team even gave him a sniff. Not even an OC now. Double demotion. That tells you everything.

The Lions have a Head Coaching graveyard under the Ford ownership. The "Last Stop" if you will. Dick Jauron was an interim HC for 5 games(never signed a HC contract with the Lions). He's the only one to hold a HC job outside of the Detroit Lions.

when Caldwell was on the Hot Seat the players rallied to save his job. The front office came out and stated before the Lions playoff game (not after) that Caldwell would keep his job, which was a dead give away that the Lions were going to lose in the playoffs.

You just made a "Field Day" statement!!! It has nothing to do with 31 other GM's and/or Coaches!!! If the Lions Organization would've even tried to build a Championship team then their feeling wouldn't have gotten hurt during the Fire Millen Campaign. Yeah, blame the fan base for wanting more than a shit show of only doing enough to sell tickets. The Ford Family has never given two shits about the Lions fan base. Even the officials have joined in on helping the Lions lose.

You can't expect Stafford to throw 40+ times a game and not have a couple mistakes.
This game ended eerily similar to the Vikings game whereas the defense was a no show once again late in the 4th quarter.
Every damn game the Lions have played this year they could've won.
When your defense cannot get stops on 3rd down and in turn get gashed the way they have then you shouldn't be placing the blame on Stafford, imo. It's on Patricia and his defense.

SORRY, but when Stafford has been setting the Lions up for HIS 4th quarter "comeback win stats" for the past 9 years (minus last year due to back injury), how in the hell can anyone blame MP when his hands are tied?

I'm all for seeing what Don Brown could do with the talent on this defense (minus our lackluster LB corps). At least he has the balls to call for blitzes and put pressure on the opposing QB's.

The best part is that our defense will convince Bears brass that Trubs is starting to come around.

Regardless of a couple of ridiculous play calls down the stretch I still like what I'm seeing on offense. But yes the front 7 on D just has to be better and it's more that lack of talent. So much of D is just effort and being where you're supposed to be. That just isn't happening on D up front.. with a couple of exceptions.

Assistant HC and QB's coach. Brian Flores is a 1st year HC. The thing about the AFC East is the Dolphins, Bills and Jets rotate 2nd place unless the Patriots are having a year without cheating, then one of the other three will step up and win the Division.

I'm pretty sure Don was renting a room in MP's house when he was DC at Boston College.

Don and Paul P both were DC's at BC consecutively when the latter took over as DC at Boston College while the former was leaving that school heading for UM.

I got nothing on Don and Bobby Q ever crossing paths.

I'm not sure what to make of all of this other than pure coincidence.
