The Lions actually looked pretty good until the bogus calls/non calls in the Green Bay game.

I haven't given much of a shit for anything football since then. I don't care for predetermined outcomes. I don't watch "professional" wrestling either.

Frank Ragnow 74.7 overall grade in Week 9
“Ragnow allowed just two total pressures across 45 pass-blocking snaps and earned an impressive 82.1 run-blocking grade against Oakland,” said Gayle.

The Lions top graded defensive player was Damon Harrison, and he just missed making the team at defensive tackle.

The Lions impact the opposing passer, be it a sack, QB hit or recorded pressure, less than any other team. After eight games, the pressure rate is just 21.4 percent of opposing dropbacks.

Detroit’s 14 sacks are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for 5th-worst through Week 9.

Pretty damn amazing that the Patriots are tied for 3rd in disruption rate and Matt comes from that system yet is unable to get results similar with the Lions.

It's all on him and his scheme to rush 2-3 and drop the rest. I'll repeat that he has the talent on the DL but not in that LB corps.

Well the defense last year was top 10 in the second half or so of the season. We added talent this year too. The defense sucks this year for 2 reasons. First, the old man has gotten too conservative. Second, lack of effort and regression of players. There literally is no excuse for this defense to be worse this year compared to last.

He had some lower leg injuries at bama. He's not as good as Henry with vision and burst but he had a nasty stiff arm like Henry. If that counts for anything.
