May 16 Schedule


We start our final series of the regular season on Thursday against FSU. Winning 2 out of 3 here would help to possibly land us a regional. I think we're out of the running really, but there's always hope.

We took the 1st game 8-2. This is an interesting series to decide the ACC Atlantic division Champion. We have to sweep the Seminoles to claim the division, FSU has to win 2 of the 3 games to claim it, and if we only win 2, NC St. wins the Atlantic.

North Carolina needs to win one more game to sew up the Coastal Division title and the top seed at the ACC Tournament vs. Virginia this weekend. This promises to be a very challenging series for UNC.

DAMN! Dropped the 2nd game to the Noles, 2-1. Good, hard fought game. Now we need Duke to beat NC State tomorrow and we need to take the series to clinch the Atlantic. Congrats Tarheels on clinching the Coastal.

Depressed... the Gators are blowing it. Weak start... top 10 play mid season... now back to weak by getting swept by Auburn last week and then we lost to a lowly UGA team last night. Even if the Gators pulls out a victory today and tomorrow to win the series against a sub .500 UGA team... things aren't looking good for us...

Yes there is. Unlike other sports a baseball team can turn things around in a big hurry. Sometimes all it takes is one inning of batting around to get everybody excited enough to start playing like pros! Losing kills that morale but a big inning or two can get the morale up high enough to start beating everybody! It has happened before.

Of course you can! I learned a long time ago as an ACC fan to NEVER, NEVER count Clemson out until you are able to knock them out. That's a huge mistake to "overlook" Clemson.

Doesn't help we have LSU, Vandy, SC, Arkansas, etc. in the league.

Looks like I will be rooting for another team in the CWS this year.
