WWE has reportedly released two of its NXT stars in Malcolm Bivens and Dakota Kai.

Looks like Dexter Lumis also is among a bunch of others as well. My guess about Dakota is that there really wasn’t any plans for her to be on the main roster and she’d made it as far as she was going to go in NXT.

Bivens is way better off outside of WWE. Dude is hilarious. He's a great comedic manager. WWE is so damn stubborn with how they view managers that he'd have an incredibly low ceiling there. Stokley Hathaway should be great in AEW.

She could’ve been fine on the main roster. Someone who doesn’t embarrass you but isn’t the face of the brand

Wwe seems to be only looking for a smaller roster of people they think can main event mania. And then cycle them all out

SRS reporting that Rodrick Strong has asked for his release.

I was surprised he wasn't included in those cuts a few days ago. They basically took everything away from him that he was pitched when he re-signed; emphasis on CW title, his own stable, more focus on him, etc. They took away all the stuff his doing and all his friends and wife are in AEW, no wonder the dude wants out

Hangman’s reign is the downside to only quarterly ppvs.

Most of his title matches have been on regular tv and haven’t had the huge builds they deserved

And add the fact that Vince is eliminating everything....and I do mean everything!.... associated with the Black and Gold version of NXT.

Dakota's release is the least shocking of them all for that reason alone.

Getting rid of the cringeworthy wedding was good idea

Kai could have a place as a solid mid carder on the main roster

I’m just happy Raquel didn’t get the axe. Her and ripley are the gold standard from old NXT

I do not like how they brought Racquel into Smackdown as some smiling "just happy to be here" rookie.

I can definitely see that as the only reason. He doesn’t fit in NXT and isn’t really needed and doesn’t look like they ever plan to bring him up to the main roster either.
