So, Thompson and Curry are just making this up. Listen, if I can make 65 FTs in a row twice in my life, and I've got a bad case of Muscular Dystrophy, Curry can make 77 threes in a row. He shot 10 in a row from different spots, and then moved to different spots after each 10. He's by far the best 3-pt shooter in history and he's obviously been in a very good groove, making over 50% of his threes in a game while being guarded, some of them off the dribble, some are step-backs, etc. Just getting passes and shooting the ball with no one guarding him is so much easier than shooting them in a game.

How do you think these NBA guys get to be as good as they are? Curry is as dedicated to improving his game as anyone in the NBA. It's why he's about the win the MVP as a 6' 3" slightly built guard. I'd bet his dad has made somewhere between 40 and 50 threes in a row before. When you shoot a hundred or hundreds of either FTs or threes a day, you're going to hit upon streaks like this.

Well, I've always practiced free throws and if you have good form, you can do it too.

You were talking about me and my free throws, right?

Muscle memory. Repetition is key.

Youtube some of Nik Stauskas 3 point shooting videos. He's not in the same league with Curry and watch what he can do.

"After hitting those 77 3's in a row...he went 17-6 in his last 23 to complete the 100 practice shots from downtown.

UN REAL!!!!"

One way that Curry takes the difficulty out of his 3-pt attempts is that he shoots a set shot probably on all of his shots in practice, and also on many of his 3's in a game. And, if it's not a set shot, it's a shot he shoots while only a few inches off of the floor (the quick release). A jump shooter could not put up numbers like this....nothing even close to 77 in a row.

Perhaps he shot them all from the same spot? Even then, shooting 77 threes in a row would wear me out.

The article says that he shot 10 at a time from different spots. We're talking about the person who will be known as the greatest shooter ever. Though, to support your theory, Tony Kornheiser (ESPN's "PTI") said that he thinks it can't be true either.

I know no one will believe me, but I'm trying to recover from a bad fall last August that hurt my knee bad, and then a subsequent infection that I got from surgery to that knee back in December.

Well, yesterday at the gym that I shoot at, I made 78 straight 3-pointers. My entourage was rebounding and passing me the balls. I was doing my normal routine where I shoot 100. I missed the first 22 and then made the final 78, so I was only 78 out of 100.

As Jon Lovitz of SNL would say,"Ah yes, that's the ticket!"

Post a video next time. You don't need the whole 78, just 4 or 5 consecutive three's that you make in a row. That would be enough to give me indication whether or not you were capable of this.

Not saying I don't believe you, but 78 three's is pretty convenient. Alternately if you're capable of making 78 in a row, there's absolutely no way you would ever miss the first 22. You would have at least made one or two to get the distance and touch down. Just saying...
