Are they trying to get more kids involved with the game? Because this certainly makes them look like a cartoon character team

They should use an actual kodiak bear as their mascot

They should just teach him how to pitch. Or her, imagine the publicity for two milestones, first bear and first female.

Look how saddened & anguished his eyes are. It looks like he is only smiling to keep himself from crying over another failed season.

Mascots do not belong in baseball.

Boston went through the same thing a few years ago... I threw up a little when they announced Wally the Green Monster... But he has realy grown on me. The most important thing is that he does not interfere with games. He doesn't launch tee shirts into the crowd between innings... He deosn't dance on the dugout.... His most important role is greeting fans outside the stadium before games.... It sounds like Chicago will use Clark the same way.

As long as you don't see them on the field, mascots are pretty cool.... It'll be interesting to read Clark's back-story. (where he came from. where he was hiding all these years. etc...)

True but to me (and maybe it's the sox homer in me) the Cubs mascot looks more like a kids toy than Wally.

If the Cubs are trying to get a younger fan base then sure this is a good idea... But it is a pretty funny looking mascot

A furry mascot is a furry mascot?

If the Cubs wind up winning the World Series this year does Clark wind up being praised in Chicago like some sort of baseball demigod?
