Its Raanta and Simpson for now. I like how the team plays with Raanta, they really seem to like the kid. Oduya has tipped a few goals in over the past couple weeks. Hope he gets stronger in protecting the crease and not deflecting pucks.

Although I think Crawdford deserves his contract, I don't see the Hawks missing a step with Raanta in net.

It's a groin pull (aka "lower body injury"). It's not a tear. A tear wouldn't heal in three weeks.

With goalies and the butterfly splits and push offs, three weeks might be optimistic.

That was my first thought. Whenever he's ready and cleared, I hope they wait a whole extra week. STL starting to rack up the wear mileage so I really don't think anything other than a very conservative approach is a good idea.

Yeah, Niemi for sure deserved a deal. Rookie goalie winning the first Cup for the franchise in 48 years should get more love than Niemi got.
