DE Willie Young goes to the Bears for 3 years $9 million total. I'd have loved to have seen this guy at that price in Dallas

Think he gets more $ than we will offer, but like the player a lot. Pound for pound the toughest guy in the NFL...just don't see him coming here...

the Ravens are said to be the favorites for Smith

I agree he's one tough dude....I got my fingers crossed I would love to add Smith to our Roster. Sounds like the Panthers will be in the market for a wr. Maybe we can swap 1st and gain a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

To drop that far it would need to be a 2nd. I prefer to wait and see who is on the board before I start planning my trade down, but could end up a possibility and a fair value. I still think there is a good chance our top DL (ignioring Clowney) may be there whomever it is. Also may have one of the top 3 OL.

Who knows if they like one of the safeties enough to grab them at #16, but I am assuming a defensive player they love will be there and I think they would be crazy to pass on one of the 3 OTs if they are there. This is why I don't see a trade down.

agree that even jerry & company should be able to draft a day one defensive starter at 16. It's THEIR draft rankings that concern me and for good reason if you take into account their track record for rankings the last couple of drafts.

As to the 3rd OT there at 16...Thinking as I think Jerry will be thinking. I trade out of the spot should no defensive worthy player (which seems most unlikely) be worth number 16. This pick needs to be sure fire on the field guy. I'm against a reshuffle with a pretty good starter and think depth with the very first pick. I understand BPA thinking but it shouldn't be the end all thinking....least IMO it shouldn't

You gotta be on the edge of your seat for a player when it's your turn or listen to the offers. Coin flip at this point what jerry will do but it's safe to say he'll be looking for exposure. Wonder if jerry remembers his 2009 draft thinking..... and could that repeat itself in this draft with all the best draft in resent years being said on all street corners?

oh shit............we have jerry and reactionary without football feel is his MO as the owner and GM of the Dallas Cowboys

I hope he does well and goes to pro bowl so we can get a third in 16' draft.

I am happy he got paid, but can careless for his performance this point forward.....

Hatcher deserves to be with the Skins. He probably will get injured like most older players do. Would like to see us sign a guy like incognito. We need some nastiness on the OL. I would love to see Hatcher carted off

We need a nasty player like Erik Williams was. Williams was a career wrecker

Now hopefully the skins overpay Spencer and his bum knee.

Only reason I care about his play is because it affects what compensatory pick we get in 15'

Big Time.

To me best case scenario would be if Hatcher and Spencer walked and made the pro bowl next year and we got two 3rd's as compensatory picks in 15', think about it two 30 something year old players that we couldn't afford and didn't need during this rebuilding process land us heat for the future. On the other hand both could stink it up next year and we get 2 6th rounders. That is why I pray both kill it next year, won't affect our record any so I'm huge fans of Spencer and hatcher next year.

Saw that. Based on how much is guaranteed, could be a terrible deal. Gives them solid depth, but he isn't going to recreate what he did last year. He isn't looking for the contract, he got it, so welcome back to the 2 to 4 sacks he is expected to get.

Has there ever been a Cowboy that went to the Skins and it turned out well? :pound:

Just hope Hatcher signing doesn't mean we panic and sign Melton to a blank check. 2 years is all I'd do. Offer a 3 year deal but load it so we can cut him after 2 with no risk.

Have the Cowboys ever picked up a Skid player or even NFCE player, I can't think of one in recent history.....
