If either team won the Big Ten tournament?

Michigan won the regular season outright and Wisconsin is in 2nd with a great OOC.

I feel like they never give the big ten any respect!

Because the B1G never wins a NC! Lol

I'm kidding (kinda) but Wisconsin should absolutely get the 1 seed with a Big Ten championship.

Michigan I am not so sure of. I mean it really depends if the others is contention fail horribly but if they won it I think absolutely they could be in contention.

Michigan played the toughest Big Ten schedule of anyone and won it outright. Impressive to win at Wisconsin, Michigan State and Ohio State.

It absolutely is. Michigan is a team I grew up watching and if anyone is my second favorite CB team they are absolutely it (except for last year FF) though I was pissed they lost the NC.

The facts are they have 7 losses. Are 3-4 verse RPI 25 and Wisconsin is 5-1 with 5 losses.

I do believe they would be the top 2 Of the 2 seeds with a championship in the Big Ten tourney.

at this point we can all agree florida and wsu are solid locks. I think zona will get one too unless they fail miserably in vegas. So the 4th number one is the true wildcard here. I say whoever it is has to win their conference tourney and be in the top 12 right now.

acc contenders - duke, uva, cuse
big10 contenders - wisc, michigan
big east - nova

outside chance contenders - kansas (big12), sdsu (mwc)

It pains me to say it but Michigan is playing extremely well and deserves a 1 seed if they win the BTT. Wisconsin is a different story, they choke come March every single year, their gimmicky style of play gets exposed every tournament. If they get a 1 seed I will be sure to pick the 8/9 over them. Hell I'll pick the 7/10 too should they wind up as a 2 seed.

We've been over this 1,000 times. Bo Ryan teams play to their seed perfectly. Yes, he's never made a Final Four. He's also never been a #1 seed. Saying that a 4 seed losing in the Sweet Sixteen is a choke is idiotic. Feel free to bet Wisconsin to lose early, but when you make up objective falsehoods to support your position, you deserve to rot in hell.

He's going to say, well Butler in 2011 went to the NC so they are amazing, Davidson must be good since they beat Georgetown (2) and Zaga (7). Cornell couldn't miss a shot. And 07 who knows.

I've sadly memorized his argument.

That's not the argument, idiot. There isn't an "argument" at all. The question of how performs to seed is an actual measurement, which is taken by comparing one's seed and where it predicts one will lose to one's result. And when you take that actual objective measurement for Bo Ryan, you get this:

He's been a 2 seed once; He made the Elite Eight once.
He's been a 3-4 seed four times; He's lost in the Sweet Sixteen four times.
He's been a 5-8 seed five times; He's lost in the Round of 32 five times.
He's been a 9-16 seed twice; He's lost in the Round of 64 twice.

So it is an objective, indisputable fact that Bo Ryan doesn't underperform compared to his seed. There isn't an argument. There is just fact.

Wisky could be a #1. Maybe. Not Michigan though, too many losses early in the year. Two if the win the local tourney, three otherwise, I think.

Lol you mad? I've literally heard the Butler line and Davidson line before, especially the Butler one.

If you notice a post I made originally I believe Wisconsin should get the 1 seed over Michigan, I was just trying to have fun with ya.

Not necessarily. In 2000 when MSU won it all, they had 7 losses and were Big Ten regular season and tournament champs. If Michigan wins the BTT they too will have won both regular season and tourney and would have 7 losses as well.
