Both teams had 4 wrestlers finish better than seed, 4 wrestlers that finished better than their seed, and 2 wrestlers that finished as seeded.

It came down to the Iowa heavyweight.

Ohio State's Bo Jordan had to face his cousin Isaac Jordan (Wisconsin) in the finals. Isaac won.
