We got a 3rd and a 5th. I'm very happy with that.

3rd was expected and I'll gladly take that for Jennings. Excellent to have a third in this class, is like having a late 2nd in other draft classes.

I'm shocked we got a fifth for Walden. We need to all send the Colts front office a Target gift card and a Thank You note

Agreed. I was shocked our second pick was that high.

At this point, im hoping other teams start signing some of the players that we haveny resign to help us in next years draft.

Finley would have been our big one this year, but I doubt he plays at all and if so, it will be later this year and a small contract, though I'm betting on him being done completely.

We've lost EDS, if he starts all year, could be a 5th or so, and MD jennings? I don't know what the criteria is, I think it has to do with contract and playing time to value a comp pick. I can't believe he got a contract worth much nor that he'll be a full time starter all year.

and we've signed none. I think Thompson knows how to play this game.

dont forget about James Jones however I dont think we can get a comp pick for Jennings because he was a UDFA.

Jennings got almost no money and a one-year deal, very unlikely we get even a 7th for him

Will likely get pick for EDS (5th) and Jones (5th)

Newhouse signed with Cincy too.

Im hoping Finley signs with someone like KC at this point just so we can get something, but if he gets cleared I would love to bring him back.

I completely forgot about Jones, I brought up a FA tracker and made comments based off that. That worked well for me :)

Looking at Newhouse's one-year/800K deal to be a backup tackle, doubtful we get a comp pick for him

I think the greatest contribution Newhouse has made is by signing elsewhere :) He'd have to see significant playing time for GB to get anything I think, but again, i'm not up on how they decide those things. I can't imagine anybody in the league or anywhere thinks this was a big "loss" for us that would result in anything. Unless Cincy has an injury and he's a starter the whole year, I don't see us getting anything for him.

didn't he fail his physical with them already? I don't think he's getting a hefty contract from anyone. Probably a 1 year deal worth some incentives will be about it, that's if he get's any chance to play from anyone.

If he only gets a 1 yr deal Ted Thompson would be all over that Id like to think considering we got a big hole there now.

He needs to be medically cleared b4 a team will sign him which wont happen for another 2 months or so I think. He prob already has a few offers from teams like Hawks, Giants, and Seahawks if he gets medically cleared.

Right, Finley should seriously consider retiring with all that dough and doing something else with his time (probably not acting, though it's nice that he has other interests). I fear he's going to force the issue, get signed for a lowball amount so he has a "chance," and then re-injure himself. That injury is nothing to mess with. He should retire. Nick Collins needs to stay retired. All that money is no good if you can't get off the couch for the rest of your life. I'm surprised that no one seems to give a shit about these players as people.
